Mom is okay to be sad. My granddaughter had danced since 3 and decided she wanted to cheer at school and didn’t think she could do both. I cried every time she danced in her recital for the (I thought last time) but she doing both again.

This was a good video. Being a retired PT groomer it was interesting watching livestock groomers. I think Pearl's color is prettiest. Butterscotch is bigger built but she is also pretty.

How fun. I went to a small 2A school in Kansas, had 49 in my graduating class so seeing Weston's homecoming reminded me of my high school time. I also remember all the kids who did a variety of activities from 4H showing animals to girls who did barrel racing and some of the guys getting into riding broncos and bulls. Good times for sure! I was a city kid that moved out to the country in the 7th grade and transitioned to living on our grandparent's farm....we never got involved in 4H or any of that and I kinda wish we had. My sisters and I went the way of music, debate, theater and forensics so those were our activities. Those heifers look beautiful after their 'spa' day. I'm sure Houston's confidence will grow and they'll all have a good time showing them. Sad news about Lambert's kid. I'm glad Skip had her 2 and they looked good. This warmer weather is a blessing for all the homesteaders who have their goats and sows having their kids and piglets! We all love seeing the babies! We just love how Bear tips his head back and shows his bottom teeth. He's just a funny "Dee-Oh-Gee" or as most folks call them dogs. 😅😅 Can't wait tonhear about the first show and regional games go for Weston. Be safe and God Bless!

Wow!! Such a learning experience for the kids. I was in 4H myself as a kid. Didn't show calves but showed hogs and sheep. Loved it and learned so much! Learning lessons they will never learn in school but will use the rest of their lives.

We had our local show yesterday and county ( Payne) starts tomorrow. My daughters showed cattle several years ago and our son shows lambs and boers. He did well locally but our county show is super competitive. We'll see! I hope the kids had a great time and did well. Livestock shows definitely have their own entertaining atmosphere and you see the hardest working and most down to earth people 💗!

You need to get a radio and let it play 24/7 to get them used to the noise and the announcer at the cattle show. I know this is late, but this is a thing we do in Mississippi showing our cattle. Just a friend tip.

I love that the guy doing the clipping was showing Emily how to fit the steer. A couple more times and she will be doing it herself. I was glad to see that the steers were not afraid of the show stick.

This brings back the my days of 4-H. I never did cattle but did hogs. I have seen where they would back comb the tail and made it look puffy on the end and then spray it with hairspray. And black shoe polish on the hoofs. Great job working with the kids Dan and the heifers kids! Good luck to you all!!
