He was a fine actor, and possessed an incredible knowledge and pronunciation of the English language. Even though he died when I was 4 years old, he made an impression on me that I will hold dear for the rest of my life...

Totally love this guy. I am Afro-American, but I always tried to use some of Ronald Coleman's, debonair essence, & gentlemanly manner, ( especially around women I adore. )

Technically, Ronald Colman was born during the Victorian Age, He straddled the old world of Horse and Buggy, and the beginning of the Industrial Age. His suave demeanor and elegant charm and delivery of his lines , harks back to a time of GENTLEMEN. I am African American college educated female, I identified with the pathos of his characters and though my people were portrayed as bafoons , clowns, maids and chauffuers in old Black and White films, I always identified with the protaganists in stories. Ronald Colman allowed me to escape into the story and forget the JIM CROW RACISM, and ugly reality of dealing with racism in America, if only for an hour or so.

Really he was very friendly with everyone and an English gentleman the way he spoke and with refined manners. But there was one man whom he really despised Samuel Goldwyn Mayer who had made life miserable for him.
