Parts washer (harbor freight) improvement project.

I got my parts washer modified and want to share what i did to it. Very low cost.

Consider adding a screen in the bucket for the dirty water. You can use a thick felt like they sell at material stores or even WalMart. Since you only using 1/2 of the bucket there plenty of room. This will allow the water to be filter, fast and cheap. The material need to be out of the water. Since your using plastic just suspend the material with wire running from side to side the the bucket. leave it loose so the middle is lower. Regards to the drain. If you put it on a rolling stand just lower to drain stand. Great job already, just my 2 cents worth, with respect.

How has your setup been holding up? Might run with your idea. I have been racking my brain on the best way to filter the cleaning solvent. Great setup, thanks!

It has held up so far. The dirt settles in on bucket and the other is mostly clean.
