This music represents a unique time in human history. An age that has gone by wherein the success of a people or a nation hinged on the tact, vehemence, culture, and above all, the will to survive and endure. This music echoes back to when history was driven by man himself, and not by man's creations ; a time when we were not so nestled in the misapprehension that placidity & optimism defines the success of a civilization. If only we could shake the shackles of cultural stagnation, and return to that age.

The spirits of this age, and spirits far older still, are still amongst us today. One just has to know where to look to find them.

Very reminiscent to me of a powow I attended in Oklahoma tripping on peyote. Great Father was there and the white buffalo. Our spirit is alive in the wind of the High Plains, beauty of Oglalla water and antelope and brother crow.

I'm not sure whether I like this or not. On one hand it makes me want to carve runes into my axe haft, but on the other hand I'm a little wierded out

Because you're brainwashed into feeling ashamed of primal emotions. Modern world doesn't want you to be a Man, who takes whatever the fuck He wants

Cooorss I kinda know what you mean. I liked them the 1st time I heard them but I almost felt embarrassed that I like them. I don't now. I showed them to my adult daughter and I said nothing. She immediately recognized her heritage and blurted out, Yes! Vikings! We love them with no shame, no guilt. We belong. Best wishes.

Pretty underwhelming when they do it live. LOL. Good song. 10/10 would listen to this while ambushing Roman legions

There is a video of an entire concert of Heilung's floating around on KZbin which is produced and edited so outstandingly as to defeat the quality of the Album itself, in my opinion. The power of the drums, the atmosphere and the vocals are infinitely more striking and rich. Unlike most videos of concerts, also, there is no stonewalling and leveling-out... It's as if you were really there.

This really wasn't underwhelming at all. From a musicians perspective, something this simple (musically) is very hard to pull off. Especially when its choreographed with a visual aspect. This was masterful.
