Thank you for taking a look at Heilung. I listen to them when I'm feeling anxious, well, anything negative really. In the past few weeks I've had an aunt and a friend pass away with another uncle currently in hospice, so when I'm alone, I listen to Heilung and Wadruna and close my eyes and let their sounds engulf me. Sometimes it's nice to listen to transcendent music that's more about feel and tone rather than composition and skill. "In Maidjan" and the great "Krigsgalder" from their "LIFA" concert are both great as is their video for "Norupo," but you can't go wrong with any of their stuff.

Heilung is straight up cool. Their songs are adapted from old Norse and German poems and Rune engravings. You should watch a live performance I recommend Fyligija Ear or Krigsgalr

Great reaction, you really let yourself be absorbed. Can I just add some points that are important in seeing this? The most important being that the child is born under an eclipse (seen in background several times). According to previking believs they had very special gifts: hamnskifte (= the ability to change appearance), age shift, talking to animals, healing (of the bird) etc The previking time and it's religion in nordic countries is much more female directed than the religion in the later years and more animistic (viking gods like Tor and Oden... ). Also healing = heilung in the german name of the band. They sing in a reconstructed version of the previking proto norse language....(Reposted answer)

I hope you slept well and had uplifting dreams after recording this video. :) Heilung and Wardruna are so interesting to me because they are taking the old stories, songs and texts (as far as it can be reconstructed) and give them a new life and a meaning that we can connect with today. As if they help us talk to our ancestors. I love this video but enjoy their live concerts even more. A good point to enter that rabbit hole is Krigsgaldr kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4PKkGuEg7WHepo and In Maidjan kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZ66hY1pgMuhjqc from the Castlefest 2017. As far as I know it was their first concert as a group and vocals, rhythms and costumes are stunning. Sometime the intros seem to be a bit long but they use it to create the atmosphere and it always works.

It's a bit funny. I heard about Wardruna from looking at Viking related viseos, which led me to AURORA, which popped up a Heilung video of their first concert. This was back in 2018 when i found out about these three, and feel better for it.
