Some things are difficult to explain, I think this is a little of my story about this song, I remember I was watching the event (the game awards) and right at the beginning Melina appeared, who is the actress who gives the voice effectively. Senua's capture, at that moment I thought she was just there watching or that she was just going to announce something about hellblad 2. in the middle of the event, however, she went on stage and announced the heilung ritual, it was only 2 minutes and 45 seconds, but It was enough to make me feel like I heard a hurricane inside me. With so little time they managed to awaken something magical inside me, I immediately left the video I was watching and went looking for the song, I spent the entire night and the next day listening to it.

I have already commented under another video of yours and it makes me very happy that you continue to be curious about Heilung. I saw them for the 1st time 2 years ago and will be attending another ritual in August. The first time I saw them live I knew the videos on KZbin before. But I was sooo affacted by the live ritual. The sheer power that comes from the stage. This spiritual pull that automatically draws you in and changes something inside you is indescribable. So the first time I saw Alfadhirhaiti live and the drums started I thought my soul was going to be thrown out of my body. In a pleasant way.

I have been picking up some of the interpretations and writing them down but I fell in love with Heilung long before that. I own 27 beautiful acres of woods. Next summer I'm going to carefully pick a spot - lay down a rawhide blanket. Sit cross legged with a speaker behind me and play some select songs/rituals by Heilung -- and watch the woods come ALIVE!!

Heilung means healing in German, and I think their concerts are more of a shamanistic healing ritual than actually a concert, in a very good sense.

I have been to several of Heilung's concerts when they have been in Denmark. Not just their music, their historical instruments but also their stage show is absolutely fantastic. It is something very special that can never be shown with full justice on youtube 🙂

In almost all of my musical journey from youth till Heilung was *defined* by the guitar and bass guitar with the exception of high school band. It is powerful to listen to how that absence opens up space for voice, drums, banging on shields, and playing on bones to create a new mind space and build a new spirit.

All Heilung song is just touching my soul. Mostly this one. I was happy that Heilung was there in the gameawards and getting more and more peoples attention. And yes it has something that not too many music can give us. Can't wait the second game of Hellblade.

Your reactions are different in a very good way. You give yourself time to ponder and digest what you just heard or saw and then give a very thoughtful comment. Some time ago you reacted to Trodlabundin with Eivor in which she does "galdr" which is one person putting a spell (have no better word in english) on opposer of different sorts. Yes they are, a fantastic experience into other worldly music. If you want to hear what they sounded like before Heilung, try Songleikr, same people just what they were doing earlier. They have an album called Godtfolk. Maria is a talent on par with any other female vocalist you've play here.

A large portion of the world is very secular these days - I think we are looking for something to replace the mainstream religions and their restrictions. Human beings need something to believe in. Heilung have tapped into something older and more deepseated than we are used to seeing and hearing, and it 'speaks' on a basic level to many people.
