Ural needs a competitor to innovate 2wd sidecar bikes and produce a modern reliable bike for the price. Kind of like Indian is forcing Harley to innovate.

Couldn't agree with you more. I love the look of the Ural but I gotta wonder, why hasn't another manufacturer, preferably an American one, taken a stab at Urals niche market? And make it liquid cooled!

My wife and I were just talking about that. In terms of "from the factory" you can get a Can Am Spyder/Ryker or a Harley trike, that's about it. And with the aging biker community, it's a wonder we haven't seen more competition.

Did it make a difference that you didn’t manually turn over the engine on the 2017 to move the oil around?

My 2017 Gear Up starts just like the one in this video, and in northern MI I ride in single digit temps regularly... I want to upgrade to the Gen 2 F.I.!!!!!!

@@kenhawkins1033 Tip of the Mitt, so I'm a Troll but barely. The closest Ural dealer that I would let touch mine again is Spartan Motors in Clinton Township on Gratiot just south of M-59. They did good work on mine, they even properly repaired "work" that the other MI dealer did wrong.

Idle is set too low on the first gen. I rise it a bit in winter and it starts immediately.

Yea my 2018 starts that bad too. And always seems to be hunting for idle. But it 2800 bucks to convert gen1 to gen 2?

Standard 2/3 Solo seat that comes on the Ural cT model. It can be installed on other Ural Models.
