This was a great video! My mamaw (and now my aunt and I) save heirloom tomato seeds by just spreading them out on a paper towel to dry. The sticky stuff around the seeds helps them stick to the paper towel when they've dried out. We put them in a ziploc bag (paper towel and all) and store them in the freezer. The next year, we just tear off bits of paper towel two or three seeds at a time, plant it, and they grow beautifully every year.

Heirloom seeds are the only seeds you should be buying and planting.
