HEL Performance | Brake Line

Latest video from HEL Performance showing what makes our fittings different from many others. Most fittings have sharp spikes that when swaged are pressed into the PTFE inner tube to hold the fitting in place. This means that if the fitting is rotated it could cut into the PTFE. The HEL fitting had three inner rings which when swaged the PTFE is pushed into the three grooves creating three o rings. This means that when you rotate a HEL Performance fitting the whole fitting can rotate around these three o rings for alignment without interfering with the integrity of the brake line.

I bought this for my CRF250L but to me I dont feel comfortable, when I pulled the front brake lever, i have to use 2 or 3 fingers, i find it hard to pull. I prefer the original line. For the rear brake line it is ok.

The heat shrink covering is pretty useless if you have to rotate the crimped end in order to line up with the banjo. Poor stuff.

Are you talking about the PVC cover on the hose or the heat shrink which covers the ferrule ?. If its the heat shrink we leave one end 'un shrunk' if people want to alter alignment or aren't sure what alignment they need when they order. That way they can align without harming the heat shrink and then shrink in place. Otherwise its better to not have heat shrink at all if you want to realign yourself.

Just a shit fitment with poor quality control end of. ive got some cracking videos of hel flexis where they jingle around and not secure etc I advise my customers on goodridge now so far they 100% success rate with no issues or comebacks
