Helen Reddy, Roger Miller and Smokey Robinson sing the intro to the first ever American Music Awards ceremony held in 1974. At the time of this telecast, Helen's current hit on the charts was Leave Me Alone which is why it was chosen as the song she would sing for the intro. Roger Miller sang King of the Road, and Smokey Robinson sang Tears of a Clown. SPECTACULAR!
