It´s fascinating to realize that Björn and Benny are the masters of light light, happy music. Yet they are capable of depicting such an existential drama! It just proves that there is a lot more behind the lightness in many of the other songs than what you might think.

Fun fact: The singer, Helen Sjöholm, grew up in a family who ran a sheet shop. She worked their as a cleaning woman on her free time as a girl. Their, among the metal sheets she found her voice... What´s meant to be is meant to be.

Yes… now the swedish version ❤

Love this song! The Swedish version is even more despairing - the English seems to have more hope that God exists!

Agreed! This is nowhere near the depth of the Swedish lyrics. It's like they poured powder sugar all over it, to make the Americans swallow it. And Helen's performance is not nearly as strong here.

This song in Swedish is more evidence for me that God does exist. I have proof enough and even though may be some had the purpose of showing differently with this song, it has the opposite effect. Gud finnas! 💪❤🙏
