Regarding reforming your religion you should ask yourself if you are changing things as per your interests and needs then you have corrupted your relgion and so your ancestors who corrupted your religious books have fooled you and your religion has lost its value. Infect you should feel ashamed of yourself when narrating that you change your religious scriptures as you wish. You could not protect your religious texts and you are feeling happy just shows your sincerity itowards your religion.

I started crying at the end. Very very few families could have sustained a relationship like this with such love and respect for each other. Arbaaz it was a pleasure watching you open up so kindly and warmly to this darling lady and talking to her in such a dignified fashion. It was beautiful to watch. I recall Helen aunty sitting behind us for a movie once. She was with your mum and the two ladies laughed and giggled their way through the movie in such happy spirits. Stay blessed ❤I loved how she called you ‘son’ at one stage 😢❤❤❤

Salma auntie’s strength for doing what she did for her family takes a lot of courage ❤ I can’t see myself doing any of it, but again Helen auntie is a beautiful person inside out. Had it been someone else I don’t see this unfolding as beautifully as it did. She didn’t just love Salim uncle but his whole family wholeheartedly including Salma auntie which is commendable and shows her heart was in the right place. ❤

Beautiful interview. Arbaaz was so wonderful. As for Helen a most beautiful, caring, loving human being apart from being the most talented and great dancer. I was lucky to meet her, have a chat with her and get a signed photo from her at her Dadar studio. Lived across her studio and waited to have a glimpse of her everyday as she passed a window that led to her studio. That was more than 52 years ago. God bless you Helen. So good to hear that respectful address "Aunty". We grew up with addressing everyone we spoke to by their name or a title _ Sir, Mam, Nani, Uncle, Aunt, even our helpers we addressed by name. Salman's mother Shushila Charak ji separated from Salim ji along with her children when Salim ji married Helen ji. After many years relations were normal. Sushila ji must have forgiven both but not forgotten. Shayad Salman ke dil par yeh baat baith gayi hai isliye vo shaadi ke naam se darta hai. He had many relationships but is not committed. Bachpan ke ghaav aur vo bhi Maa ke saath bhulaye nahi bhulta insaan.

Salim Khan was not compassionate with his wife. Any other man would have asked Helen to settle with another man . Or would have helped her financially but this is projected as Salim Khan was a good man.. rubbish…

Basic issue is a married man committed adultery. It has been glossed over. It was wrong and there is no other way that I can see it.

I had a VHS tape where I had recorded her dance from movies like “Sholay” and “Don”. We had cabaret dances back then and she made it look so cool. The best part was that each of her dance came across as sensuously graceful and never vulgar. She always had skincloth on. The sheer cloth which sometimes was bedazzled. I was really happy when she had tried to return after a gap in “Khamoshi” she was equally graceful when she danced to the tunes to “Gaate the pehle akele” ❤

How is noone seeing any problem with this. To normalise for one woman to just accept and suffer cannot be normalised. Salma also deserved to have the kind of connection with someone like Salim and Helen had. Why are such connections of men respected and women are not even given the chance to consider leaving? Why is it emphasized that Salim's decision mattered to keep family intact, why wasn't the main decision of staying given to Salma?

Maybe he did not know or did not want to recognize that ... but Vijantimala was a Trained Dancer and so was Madhuri Dixit ... Helen and Sridevi both learned on the sets they never had those backgrounds.

@@anpualeti to be very honest u r not seeing one thing he is interviewing Helen who is his step-Mom and a part of his family ...so he will always feel that Helen was a better dancer then her contemporary but See the Humbleness of Helen she said no body ever was that Good as compared to Vijayantimala infact she said she looks towards Vijayantimala as a Guru and would touch her feet when it comes to Dancer ... there is no greater respect for her when her contemporary gives Vijayantimala that.

Other woman is other woman no matter how good ir talented they maybe Be it Hema Malini, Helen , Sri Devi etc , i ask all the wives in this section will you want an other woman in thyour marriage... I feel actresses now are better in this regard.....i dont see anyinte becoming the other woman like bygone days actresses

Respectfully, this interview invokes such mixed feelings. Feelings of extreme pain, anger, resentment for one woman disrupting another woman's married life and forming a relationship with him. Life would never have been the same for the first wife. The anguish of the first wife is so easily overlooked. The shared husband and other woman knew very well what the wife would have felt but still went ahead with their so called accidental emotional attachment. In this instance Salim Khan obviously tried to prevent his family from being completely torn apart so he stayed with both women but his can anyone overlook his wife's shattered and broken heart of having had no choice but to share her husband with another woman. Helen appears to be a lovely human being but sadly facts are facts. We can choose to not hurt another woman and back out of a potential relationship with a married person by taking appropriate measures and refraining. Hats off to this family gorgeous working it out between themselves and keeping together regardless. Credit goes to the first wife more than anyone else as she didn't sign up for this. God bless them and protect every woman from having to forcefully share a husband she loves dearly.
