I raised a black female pit Resembles labrador when she was a puppy to the front lawn for training, i'm on my hands and knees coaxing her to come on spider let's go for a walk, OK quit messing with me I say all this to her she look at me get up and start walking with me she loved it, Got to the point when she sees a dog or a cat she wouldn't react I drop the leash should walk right alongside me stop at the corners with me cross the street with me she was such a sweetheart I miss spider to this day.🕶"

I love all dogs but I currently have a pitbull and they are awesome dogs. the only negative thing I would say about this is obviously these dogs are trained very well but all the owners seem to be a little restrictive with the leashes. let them do what they went there to do.

SAMMIsLIFE depending on the circumstance, that can be very true.. These dogs were bred for their drive. Its better to keep them on a restricted leash than to risk liability issues if your dog bites another dog in all the excitement.

Pits are a reflection of you, train them to be bad and attack gives them a horrible rep. My old pit saved me from being attacked by another dog (That was a stray and not a pit) She wasnt trained. All she knew how to do on command was sit down and lay down. She saved me because she loved me. Pits get a bad reputation of people fighting them and turning them into mean dogs, I absolutely HATE people who think they are bad animals and should be 'gotten rid of' or 'exterminated'

Pitbulls are naturally aggressive to dogs and animals, but never to people. attacking dogs and other animals is what they were bred to do, they should never be aggressive to people though

Epic_mancat Yeah she's 15 months now. She's able to jump high, potty trained, and all types of stuff. She's getting ready to have puppies also. I let her loose in the backyard for a few minutes one day, I look up and our Pomeranian is nailing her. So its going to be interesting seeing how a pitbull and pomeranian are going to look?

Pitbull is a fighting breed and everything they can do physically is because of it. I don't disagree with testing dogs but i do disagree with blatant animal cruelty. Beating, starving and poor living conditions but the testing and maintaining the integrity of a pitbull inside and out NO!

Pitbulls were bred to fight yes but that doesn't mean fighting is all they are. Pitbulls are loyal dogs who are willing to protect but because they were bred to fight that's all people see. Rottweiler's are portrayed as aggressive on t.v but yet pitbulls get the most hate because of what people chose to do with them. Nobody chooses where they are born or chooses what hand they are dealt. Pitbulls are one of the most misunderstood breeds. In fact chihuahuas have a higher chance of attacking than pitbulls. You may not think much about it because they are small but if its a child they can kill. In fact they were first bred in mexico to hunt. There are several small breeds that were born to hunt. Each dog has the potential to harm. But also each dog has the potential to be so much more than what we can see. So anyone who reads this please get pass the discrimination of pitbulls just because they were bred to fight. That wasn't a choice they made it was a choice made for them. Every dog is like a child you have to teach them and let them know right from wrong. I thank anyone who reads this.

sadly not all owners of pitbulls understand that besides all this sport stuff, while playing with your pit like this you encourage your dog to bite something and dont let it go for anything in the world, the test should be like this: the owner must leave the dog without leashes , with other dogs in the field, and he must know perfectly what his target will be. also he has to keep the bite for 5 seconds and drop it at order, if he doesn't do that, should be disqualified. remember, think as a dog partner, not as a dog owner. their best excersice is with their nose, smelling everything they can. thats the best way to let these dogs calm down and release stress, not by stimulating his bite..

@@WDLC1911 - They make a good point though. An owner should have full control over their dog at all times and the example given would show exactly that. It's not fair to say fuck it, they'll just bite things and not let go on command because that is just plain lazy. It takes a lot of work, but such control can be attained with a worthy dog. If not, the animal shouldn't be put on a pedestal because it isn't the highest possible standard of the breed.

If a child grows up in a household where a parent is a killer will that child become a killer because of 'genetics'. Dogs bred to hunt have a higher chance at biting someone or other dogs. And if you don't train your dog then of course you can expect it to grow up be a disaster dog and that's with any dog no matter how small or big.
