sheila graber Thank you! I actually find that I write more neatly when I keep it small 😅 Other than that, take it slowly, breathe and make sure your lower arm is supported on the desk 💕

Helen Colebrook Thanks so much, Helen. Sorry if the link was there all the time and I just failed to see it! I think I particularly like this spread of yours because it’s still recognisably your style but the colour palette is a bit brighter than your usual style. For myself, I’m looking to combine some sort of vintage elements with light and bright watercolours and other materials. I don’t post anything anywhere yet, as I’m bedridden with serious, permanent illnesses, and my rate of working is painfully slow at the moment. If I feel I can produce something a bit more regularly I may post it somewhere online. Perhaps Instagram. I did study art years ago but haven’t been well enough for a regular practice for years. I hope this isn’t ‘TMI’! I enjoy and am inspired by seeing other people being creative in the meantime! I also plan to check your class out at some point if I can. I’m really glad that getting out of your comfort zone and taking some risks is bearing fruit for you! xx

Hiya! I wanted to ask what you do to keep the watercolor from pilling the paper? I’ve tried so many things but the paper just gets so saturated that it starts to pill!

Ariana Jackson I go very lightly with the brush to make sure that I’m not overworking any sections and lifting up the top of the paper. I don’t know if that helps? Otherwise, it might be worth trying some different paper? I hope you have success 😊💕
