Just purchased this a couple of months ago. It is a joy to use. Removed the paint they provided, and put my own favorite colors inside. It’s worth having it for me. Wish they gave an option to buy it empty. It’s used in the car on trips with water brushes. Enjoyed it so much just purchased another one. This time only purchased the paint container without the clips and the bag. Use one in the full leather clip, and the other one is in the bag using my own clip. Recent update: It fell on the floor, accidentally stepped on it with full weight. It did not break or crack. Super impressed. Would recommend definitely would buy again.😊👍

@ the colors in my palette are Daniel Smith: Hansa Yellow, New Gamboge, Moonglow, & French Ultramarine. Meiliang: Olive Green #447, Primary Red Magents #256, Rosa Red #502, Quinacridone Violet Reddish #467, & Sienna #074. In the future might swap out Rosa Red #502. ☺️ Haven’t removed the colors from the second purchase yet.

Ooo, lovely! I've still yet to try Daniel Smith's Hands Yellow and New Gamboge, but I really want to at some point!

I really like the mixing charts, they alwas look like a little coulorful solar system to me :D . The colour combination is quite versatile. The mini palette is so cute and yet I also don't need another tiny palette but it looks real fun 😅

This was fascinating. I was surprised by a few of the mixes you created. I usually just buy the convenience colors but my pallet is huge now. Time to reassess. Love the planetary chart! 🥰

I also have that little palette which i did not need! I was able to purchase it on Amazon solely as the palette for about $8.00 on sale. Wait for Black Friday everyone.

I love watching you choose paints for all your palettes. Such an interesting process. And I just put a Mijello paint set on my Amazon wish list as I don't have any...yet.

I find it such a deeply enjoyable process! I think looking at all the colours just makes my brain happy! The MMG single pigment set is lovely. They are incredibly vibrant, clean, smooth colours, and stay quite moist, like Sennelier paints.

Yes your friend is right,A. Gallo is working on paint tubes😊 I wish I could buy daniel smith(3) colors,but I can't find them in Germany😕 and I don't need a whole tube,one half pan would be enough for me😢

Really cute little palette, the colors you chose came out quite nicely, a good variety. I suppose you didnt need a white color, can just use one of your white pens for those details. Cant wait to see your next video!

Thanks - yes, I don't really use white watercolour paint.

Funny I was just looking at this palette on Amazon the other day! I’m wondering if you can take take the mixing trays off?
@FaithAnnNBКүн бұрын
I love notturno, now I need to see if I can mix it with my tube paints! I saw that little palette on Lindsay’s (frugal crafter) channel a while back and thought it was cute; I love the little faux leather pouch it comes with. The only thing that I think would really annoy me is how the little mixing trays are attached so they cover a tiny portion of the paints.
@helencryerКүн бұрын
It's a gorgeous colour, and I don't even like purple much! Yes, they cover them up a little, but the opening is still about as wide as a half pan, so I'm not too bothered.
@booksareareasonКүн бұрын
The naturno reminds me a lot of DS shadow violet in its vibe/attitude. The Naturno is more purple and the DS has black in it. But it might suit your painting style
@booksareareasonКүн бұрын
Might be closer to moonglow but I'm partial to shadow violet
@helencryerКүн бұрын
Thank you! My Notturno is a bluer kind of purple than my Moonglow. I've not tried Shadow Violet, but to be honest I don't use my Moonglow much nowadays, because both it and Shadow Violet are not lightfast.

I enjoyed listening to you. Your choices are 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I found this palette in 🇩🇪 for 5€ and got a few to play around. I added a phone holder ring at the back, to hold it in my hand. Mine came empty, withiut the green pouch and without paints. I can make my own palette and little pouch. Pity that regular pans dont fit. Perhaps 1/4 pans might fit?
@helencryerКүн бұрын
Oh wow - that's great! I don't know about ¼ pans, sorry, I've never had any.
@WolfmanWoody2 күн бұрын
For shadows, take a look sometime at Terry Harrison's Shadow, which is nice and transparent, shows the underlying colours well. Or Rosa's Violet Black, but it's a little more opaque.

I find it strange that MMG calls PY150 green gold as PY150 is usually nickle azo yellow (which I love). And PY129 is what I have seen as a single pigment green gold.
@tdelphia1Күн бұрын
Totally agree! PY150 is not only a fabulous mixing yellow, but in mass tone looks yellow ochre-ish while tinting out to a glorious, transparent neutral yellow. PY129 DEFINITELY leans green. If I have PY129 on my palette, it actually sits with the greens rather than the yellows.
@helencryerКүн бұрын
Yep, I find lots of paint names a bit weird across brands, and mainly just use pigment numbers.
