I certainly hope it is not depleted but a FEMA admin said there is not enough money for the season. Whether they have money or not, I live there and I can say that they were very slow to respond. It is local people helping and bringing in aid!!! I also could have used those Starlink systems FEMA failed to buy which would have given valuable infrastructure needed to get the word out and meet needs and save lives. I fortunately met a truck driver named April in a parking lot, who allowed me to use her satellite phone to tell my family I was ok as towers were down. We heard on a briefing that water had been sent to Asheville airport and was not given out to the whole county as it was dogeared for the town only! Red tape! Or do they only care about the city and not the whole? Sorry, I am venting....

We lost everything in Katrina. FEMA gave us $750 for the entire contents of our home, our clothes, our electronics and what they claimed as new rental assistance.. $750 and that was 10+ years ago.
