I doubt that this VP debate will change many minds of people whom have already made up their minds on whom they will cast their vote. However, it appeared Vance was much more knowledgable on many topics than Walz. Walz seem to hammer on Trump more often than expected. It also appeared to me that Trump/Vance was the encumbent rather than Harris/Walz from a presidential perspective. I don't think neither debater won/lost the debate. However, if I were to grade their performance it would be: Vance B+ and Walz C-. On the flip side, I personally think VP vs VP debates are of less importance and meaningless at times than having the actual presidential candidate on the stage. Since there's only one President and one Commander-in-Chief, it would be more constructive and advantageous for the public's benefit to have 3 debates as follows: (P) president candidate; (VP) vice-president; 1 debate; P vs P and 2 debates; VP vs P from each party. For example, Trump vs Harris debate; Vance vs Harris debate; Walz vs Trump debate.

He outright said let’s study what’s going on and make an informed decision/look at other countries with large gun populations but minimal violence for their solutions. It’s logical and reasonable. I understand people’s arguments for unrestricted access and the ability to fight government tyranny/a majority of gun owners are responsible gun owners whether they’re enthusiasts (AR15 owners) or just needing protection. So while I understand one sides viewpoint, I personally think it’s entirely possible to have it both ways even if it does make it slightly more inconvenient. BUT, once again, I do understand the fear of the government using that restriction as a means to control people. So truthfully it comes down to trust in government. I wouldn’t fear a policy like that with a trustworthy government (I wouldn’t with 100% confidence say a Harris government is trustworthy) With one like a trump government(you might say Harris or democrat etc), I would fear it’s weapon used to disarm opponents as trump has a history of trying to enforce his viewpoint with muscle rather than listening to both sides. Should be obvious, the first part is what he said, the parts after are my personal opinion.
@Bertinator-nm9ld2 ай бұрын
Ultimately, any policy that is effective at stopping people from obtaining illegal guns will necessitate making it at least slightly harder for normal people to obtain legal guns. Those two things are directly linked. You can't have one without the other. If you want totally unrestricted access to legal firearms, that's fine. But you do have to acknowledge that one of the tradeoffs will be making guns easy to obtain for criminals. You can say that's a trade-off you're willing to accept, but don't pretend it's a trade-off you don't have to make
@CloseCutFilm2 ай бұрын
@@Bertinator-nm9ld I pretty clearly stated exactly what you’re saying. Specifically about there’s way to allow people to get whatever firearm they want, but it would make it slightly more convenient. But there’s also a caveat that a corrupt government could weaponize that policy. So the true question is trust in government.

@ofui243 ай бұрын
Prices are high, but they are lower than when trump was in office. Lumber is much lower than it was under trump. Groceries are also lower. I had to pay $8 for a dozen store brand eggs. I'm now paying $3 for that same brand. My food budget can actually stretch the month now where as under trump, I had at least a weeks worth of days out of the month where I had to go without food at all because things were so expensive. I had to go to food pantries just to make sure I had at least enough for my son to eat. Thank God for free breakfast and lunch at school so he could eat.
@ThatTallBrendan3 ай бұрын
To answer that question; Harris/Walz are in favor of regulating corporations' ability to price gouge on household necessities/groceries; something that they have been provably doing since the pandemic. Prices *did not* return to baseline after the supply chain issues resolved, all-the-while corporations have seen record profits. They *are* price gouging. Trump/Vance are in favor of further *deregulating* the corporate sector - as well as defunding consumer safety organizations. Trump/Vance also support a blanket tariff on Chinese imports, but with corporations *relying* on Chinese imports, that cost will simply be passed to consumers in order to maintain profits, *IN ADDITION* to an increase in sales tax, which will disproportionately effect lower and middle class families. Harris/Walz, on the other hand, want to increase tax revenue by ensuring the rich pay their fair share. In part through the implementation of a tax on unrealized capital gains. You may question whether or not that sounds fair, however unrealized capital gains can be weighted as collateral when securing financial loans, creating a tax-loophole for the ultra-wealthy. This loophole should be closed, and UCGs should be taxed accordingly. As for the money we've given to foreign countries, in Ukraine, that 'money' has taken the form of military stock. Surplus weapons and munitions- which were _already_ in the process of being replaced. But more to your point, Biden/Harris had (in 2021) authorized the investment of $1.2 trillion, into stateside infrastructure. Meanwhile, Trump/Pence stifled our initial response to the pandemic in 2020- *and* denied California federal assistance during the 2020 wildfires, all the while authorizing tax cuts for the ultra-rich. Now, I in no way take issue with you posing the question- However to me, the answer is obvious.

In the early grades we should give our kids as much attention to Reading writing and arithmetic as possible. Early ages is when our children learn the most. That's when their brains developed and are able to hold the information which will allow them to succeed as they get older. More kids are dropping out of school and not getting a proper education. That's a fact. Don't get me wrong I am also concerned about school shootings. And it's unfortunate that we have grown into a society to where we have to lock our doors on schools.

Educate your own children then. Put in the time. The schools are there for socialization at best.

I would recommend home schooling through online courses

Cutting the mic was for fighting, but they cut the mic because Vance was right. Now this is a rely to a question because someone asked what was actually on in Springfield, "Biden lied that the Haitian were being whipped at the boarder, this wasn't happening. They made it up and gave all the Haitians temporary status, they weren't vetted and they moved to Springfield because there was a small migrant population because the old mayor made a law to bring in migrants because the town was declining in population. This was ten years ago and many of them were from Mexico, but they came here legally and aren't the issue. The Haitian are illegally driving and on the wrong side of the road. Several people have been injured, an 11 year old boy and one pedestrian were killed. These were different incidents and the 71 year old woman who was killed didn't get any justice. they didn't even sight the man for having expired tags." What I've learned since this was posted on instagram as a reply to a question is that Harris and Biden actually flew them in under perfected status. The hospitals in Springfield are overrun, people are being run out of their homes and the car accidents are happening at 4 times the rate. When they were flying in people the Cuban's were being starved by their government and were told if they had been caught over the boarder they would be sent back. Why fly in one country and send back another?

Or maybe she’s younger and just not the right fit for this type of job. Grace is a beautiful thing to give to someone.
