Even with all the technology today, I still would rather hear/listen to recordings from this era. The style is impeccable along with the "masculine" sound, which is now missing with most military bands. The enjoy bands that are "a little rough around the edges". Thanks for uploading this recording.

The march and rhythm is still used by the current German army. Difference just is that back then the drums were made out of steel and the audio quality was worse so it sounds a little different

great insight. i noticed this with modern marching bands. they lack the masculine determination. something about the sound and vigour, it doesnt fit.
