Kings fan looking for info on our new prospects here, you nailed this prediction. Early second round pick by a team that can afford to take a risk in the LA Kings. Kings scouting has stated that a lot of the D-men in this draft are 3-4 years away from NHL action. You know your stuff man

Perfect timing on this guy. I saw that Bob Mckenzie had him going number one in the second round but I hadn't heard anything about him. Now I know his defensive game needs a lot of work. I appreciate that you take the time to analyze player traits other than scoring. Your channel has helped me through this virus situation and it's inspired me to start looking at future prospects on my own time. Thank you for the content! Also, I know you get bombarded with comments about specific player profiles, but have you thought about doing one on Jean-Luc Foudy?

He's pretty similar to Grans. Less offensive upside, a bit shaky defensively. We could see massive improvement in his game next year once he get stronger and Saint-John learn to play some defense

Wouldn't be touching him with a 1st round pick but perhaps a late 2nd rounder. However, some NHL team will take him early. The team taking him will be both confident (in their development ability) and patient (in the player).
@millerlaflamme4 жыл бұрын
Really good job man! How would you compare Jurmo to Grans? Without going into details, I must say that I'm pretty high on Jurmo. Not so much on Grans. Also, if a team really wants a big RD with offensive upside, I'd definitely go with Barron. Much better defensively.
@DraftDynasty14 жыл бұрын
Grans got way more offense in him compare to Barron. I dont know Jurmo really well but he's not good offensively and not good defensively from what Ive seen. Not sure what he does other than carrying the puck.
@millerlaflamme4 жыл бұрын
@@DraftDynasty1 I don't know if you'll agree but I feel like there's not a lot of good options this year for high end D prospects. Jurmo reminds me of Broberg last year. But all things considered, I must agree with you. Apart from rushing the puck in the offensive zone, he doesn't do much. Wallinder and Grans have so much questions marks in their games (Grans seems to have a bit more offense in him). As for Barron, the health concerns + playing on a horrible team could provide a great opportunity for a team looking for a puck-moving D.

@@DraftDynasty1 Thanks for the insight! Just subbed and have been watching your videos all morning. I'm doing some real amateur investigative work to figure out what Anaheim is trying to do since our asst. GM is quoted as saying he thinks there's a top-10 or 12 and we're rumored to possibly trade down from the #6. I figured if we were willing to pass on Drysdale there'd have to be another dynamic RHD available with great athleticism and a great skillset, and look who we have here! For a team that's developed defensemen so well, he just screams Anaheim to me. And if we're willing to move down to the 10-12 range, I was looking at forwards that were dynamic (sorely missing speed and skill) and late risers in scouting rankings, that's when I came across Seth Jarvis. Zegras is probably the only other forward in our system that has some top end ability whether it's playmaking, scoring, or elite skating. I think I'm starting to figure out Anaheim's plan here!

I would agree with that. The most important will be to fix the mental side. He need to be better at reading what's in front of him. Knowing when it's time to be aggressive and when it's time to back peddle. Better Positioning + overall awareness and feel for the game.
