Agreed with you few years ago but if we look carefully now, at the time he was skating a lot on his inside edges and he didn't change that. That was enough in the junior, but in the pros its hard for him to adapt his skating to use more is outsides hedges to evade more fastly the high pressures with fast feet step. He's often having one or two guy on the back and he's not able to evade the pressure properly to gain time of reaction and show all his skills and IQ, he needs to improve his feet speed and use more his outsides edges to evade more fastly the NHL pressure.

He is definitively the catalyst on the line, bringing a ton of energy, causing turnovers, making sick passes and potting them in left and right. There are thousands of 7th round draft pricks that never make it to the NHL. It’s so great to watch a video like this that highlights what he is doing well in juniors and what are his faults. It shows the incredible journey that RHP had to take to make it the big league.

this tournament was great.. just good hockey.. with TSN covering this tournament, they always find a way to drag it down with useless stats and what not, never letting the hockey speak for itself. but the russia sweden semifinal could have gone either way, great game, and the final was really good. also remember germany being good story. and the atmossphere at czech games.
