Sikorsky S-58JT helicopter drops a pickup truck from 1500 feet. Unbelievable outcome! This video was taken at the Goshen Indiana air show 2024 aka Freedom Fest.

This has been a standard stunt at airshows for a long time. Sometimes there is a buildup to the stunt by announcing there is a car illegally parked and blocking something and it will be moved if the owner doesn't show up. The announcer tells the pilot to put the car down and he appears to drop it by accident. The actual car dropped is an old stripped out junker. What makes it more fun is watching the reaction of people, especially kids, who think it's all real and someone got their car demolished.

I saw them drop a VW Bus at the Ohio State Fair to promote awareness on the danger of drunk driving. As it dropped I could see my father holding back tears for the Bus we had, being the first family car my Parents ever owned. They pulled out the middle seat and put a play pen in the space, then tossed me in. There were no safety seats or even mandatory seat belts at the time.

I'm English this wasn't dropped from as 1 mile the VW Beetle was dropped from when Richard Hammond raced the 911 Turbo from a mile away. The Beetle beat him by 2 seconds but it wasn't recognisable as a hateful Hitler mobile. Hammond was devastated at losing to the Beetle.

If it's a Toyota Hi-lux it will still start & drive look what they did to Hi-lux on Top gear it was left waiting for the tide to come in it broke from its anchor was pulled out to sea , they attached.it too a boat & pulled it back to Shore it restarted Been an old diesel . They put on top of a 12 storie office complex & blow up the complex they retrieved it from the rubble it still started & still resembled a pick up it's Chassis was partially cracked they then set fire too it , it still started so in the end they put it on a plynth as it deserved it in the BBC studios. When I say Too gear I mean the most watched TV program in the world the 1 made in England not the made under licence fake American 1.
