C-GHJL is seen operating Helijet’s JB712 service from Victoria to Vancouver. This is Helijet’s newest variant, the S-76C++ which replaces the older S-76A (see my other video from one day earlier). This flight was almost empty as most pax were rebooked to an earlier flight, we gladly stayed on this one to catch the C-variant. Enjoy this view in beautiful Vancouver weather (rare in November!).

That shot of the overhead brought back some memories for sure. That C++ has some B features, like the Collins radios and the round throttle knobs, but otherwise flies like an S76. Beautiful bird.

Never realised there was a helicopter service between Victoria and Vancouver. I thought I'd quite like to try it until I saw the price - CAD350 one way? I think I'll stick with the Harbour Air Otter/Twin Otter next time I'm in that neck of the woods!

That's the highest regular fare, if you book on shorter notice you'll get them for much less. They also have specials every now and then. I think we paid CAD 250 return which is ok-ish.

Loran I saw the weekend fare was CAD250 but it was still a lot compared with Harbour Air’s cheapest fares of CAD159. Having said that, the S-76 would be a new aircraft type for me so just maybe... Loved the video by the way.

Loran oh, just saw it was 250 return you paid, that’s not bad at all.

@@egpx They can charge those fares because they can fly in all weather, whereas the props need to stay grounded during bad weather. Nevertheless, if you keep you eyes open you can find reasonable fares if you are flexible. Definitely worth the ride.
