Great piece of kit, I've added a couple of Helikon Tex pouches and use it for extended walks. Capable of carrying quite a bit of kit but doesn't fatigue the body like a backpack does. One of my favourite pieces of Helikon gear 🙂

Nice one des. Nice bit of kit. I have their bushcraft satchel and raider backpack as well as some other bits and bobs by them, quality stuff. That foxtrot looks quite flame retardant also🤣. Keep up the good work sir. Rich

Hi des I'm wondering if you've heard of a guy on you tube called Felix immler, He's a Swiss guy who does all Swiss army knives (sak) related vids. I saw one where he mods the sak into a bearing block for a bow drill set,it's not so much the mod that he does it's how he rigged the bow . Have a look at it ,I'd be very interested to hear or see your take on it. I hope your going to bring back tales from the shed for your lock down. Sorry this isn't about your review but it's the only way I can get in touch. atb London Aussie steve

Nice vid and nice piece of gear, I'm trying to figure out a system where I can have all that I need for the woods on my belt instead of a backpack (I know it sounds silly but I think its doable), so far helikon has been my go to for pouches and gear in general, this bag will definitelly be something I will look at. P.S. The burning stove behind you gave me the same kind of anxiety as of when I burned my coat near a pizza oven (long story) :)
@descattysBushcraftbydescattys3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Paul. Totally agree with the helikon gear.

Thanks for the vid des. Saw your recent video in the rain with the Foxtrot when you first got it. Iam looking for a day pack too recently and still havent made up my mind yet. Iam leaning towards a shoulder bag (Condor E&E, or Direct Action messenger small bag) or this set-up. Basically for two reasons, one, as you I like to keep my back clear, specially in the summer, and two, my age (+50) Iam not to keen on more weight on my back, also we tend to carry more then we need on a backpack. The Foxtrot MkII is a very actrative solution because it can be a modular system as shown in this video which I think is a great way to go...kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYmYf6KnZppgha8 Good care, and greetings from Catalunya.
