Nice little kit. Like any other bag, you cannot get all you want inside and still have a small package. Thank you for showing us what you carry, Fredrik

That is so true, and if you get a "big enough" pouch it will soon be too big to carry hehe! Thanks for watching and commenting as always!

I feel like not fitting a TQ or a pressure dressing in it proper is a good thing. Those are the stuff you want to have just on you and be able to access and use in an instant and not have to get and open a bag to reach them. I have one of these small puched and mine is filled with like plasters, a small mirror, anti-septic wipes, a small gauze dressing, small surgical scissors, skin balm, alcogel, small bottle of multi-purpose wash (so like a lot of stuff to just help me stay clean and avoid infections/septis) as well as a small Victorinox knife (the Camper I believe). So stuff for small wounds or preventive medicine. Anything bigger I just keep on me, usually in a leg pocket on my trousers.

If you Google "Eclipse 100 first aid pouch" or "Eclipse 200 first aid pouch" you will find very similar pouches but without the Molle and without the velcro patch on the front. I think the 100 series would be the same size as the one in the video. The added bonus is they are cheaper than the Helikon-tex version as well. In fact these Eclipse first aid bags are available under several brand names either empty or with a basic filling...For instance, iirc I bought one from Sports Direct badged as the Karrimor Mini First Aid Kit for £7, but I think that's the slightly larger 200 series pouch??

Indeed there are a lot of pretty good cheaper pouches out there! The helicon is a bit over built, and I’d like it to just have a simple belt loop with snap in stead of the molle to save weight. Thanks for watching!

The bottom loop may be used to store a bundle of gloves, or maybe something small and round? Or just to put a carabiner on to attach things. Also if you cut off the MOLLE straps and the two outer or two inner MOLLE webbings, then you can have a horizontal belt mount.
@RubleInnawoods5 жыл бұрын
Just make sure you fix things up so they don't fallout immediately when you open the pouch

Thanks for sharing your ideas! I have been thinking of modifying it borth removing some of the molle as well as adding some bungee but not sure how it would turn out considering the impressive amount of heavy stitching used. Hopefully Helikon-tex is watching videos on here so they can pick up an idea or two as well hehe!

Throw away Tampon! It will absorb but not apply sufficient pressure to stop bleeding. It may even hide hemorrhage! Unless trained to use, get rid of RAT-T. Get a two SWAT-T and train on one. Combine with a compressed gauze pack (or stone) as a tourniquet. It will also pressure bandage, sprain bandage, seal a sucking chest wound, bandage a splint. Get Celox Z-fold 3"x5' hemostatic. Triangle bandage will not pack as well as compressed gauze or even a T-shirt. Carry hydrocoloids dressings for minor cuts/blisters/burns. Helikon Tex is a good outfit but this pouch is too fat with Velcro & zippers. All you need is two pockets, one for SWAT-T, one for Celox and compressed gauze, squeeze in the hydocoloids and some antiseptic wipes. I stripped elastic from my mini belt pack so it also contains my iPhone 8+. The first thing you need to do is call for help!

Tampon is for the wife :) The swat is fine for applying to others but is pretty useless for one handed self application. It also require more physical strength and dexterity. These days I have a smaller pouch for my edc first aid kit.

@@ThePreparedNorseman The last thing I need is another first aid kit :-) It is funny though. I bought the green Wizard's soil book for 14 C$ from amazon dot ca and it is US$13 on amazon dot com so cheaper for me. Usually not like that!
