I really like the fact that the outside is completely clear of MOLLE & velcro. Gives the pack a nice low profile as opposed to the "CIA mercenary in Baghdad" look that some waist packs have.

Agreed. It's a lot more incognito compared to some other #tacticool backs. Would completely fly under the radar

Best waist / Fanny pack ever. Wish I could post pictures on here of how I have it set up.

Agreed. I wish KZbin would allow that too.

Finally a good review of this pack! I’m ordering one this weekend so I’m glad I came across your video. Well done sir, great work! 👍🏼

The foxtrot waist pack from their sister brand direct action is a thing of beauty.

Noted. I'll check it out. I have a foxtrot MkII from Helikon heading my way too

Versatile bag 👍 So it's a waist pack that's slung on the shoulder, front side. Interior loops for ripping off blade pouch is smart addition. Thanks for sharing M.

Yes, that sums it up perfectly 👍 thanks for watching

Great video! Only problem I have is that there belts are not extendable and I need a liitle larger. Seems they like to make things for small people only!
@MoorlanderEDC Жыл бұрын
Great point! They should make a universal extension. They're all the same webbing and WooJin buckles. They could make something maybe an extra 9" to help. Might be worth messaging them on social media as an idea

Sure sure...receiving a package from HT today but didn't know to look for a new waist pack.

I found the con is there is no strap to tie the trigger guard holster in the largest compartment… Any tip?
@MoorlanderEDC Жыл бұрын
My work around would be a Grimlock and six inches of hook & loop. You can anchor the Grimlock to the bottom of the hook & loop and then attach the lanyard to that. I'm not too sure how hard you have to pull the trigger guard holster to detach it however I'm sure there's enough velcro to keep it attached. You could always add more or less if needs be. How does that sound?
@yinxiaochen9807 Жыл бұрын
Figured out a workaround to use the two cable ties from another compartment. 😂

You might also consider purchasing one of 945 Industries' kydex velcro-backed holsters. However, they're more expensive than the H-T holster and they're made to fit one particular firearm.

It's similar to the 5:11 Skyweight. Cowabunga.!

Interesting .. but It's more a sling bag no ? And comparing with the Numbat a real waist bag from H-T?
@MoorlanderEDC Жыл бұрын
Correct. Definitely more like a sling bag. I need to pick up a Numbat 👍

Hi, do the zippers on the bag get wet in the rain?
@MoorlanderEDC8 ай бұрын
Hi TFC1983, the main/larger section zips are open to the elements. As this is the main CCW they didn't want a zipper hood to impede the opening of the zips if it needed in haste. The secondary compartment does have a zipper hood to protect it from the rain. Hope that helps buddy
@TheFruitcake19838 ай бұрын
@@MoorlanderEDC I see, I need to experiment with water repellent with silicone on my bags with similar zippers with protective fabric.
@MoorlanderEDC8 ай бұрын
@@TheFruitcake1983 Are you looking to use a bag for CCW? I dont find you some other packs if you like that have Aqua-Guard zips if you're not carrying a firearm. There's some great waist packs out there
@TheFruitcake19838 ай бұрын
@@MoorlanderEDC Mostly not for CCW. I like the size and design that can be adapted for different purposes. Although of course you can find a leather bag with a rubber zipper protector.

Whenever I see a dude wearing a pack like this the first thing I think is gun
@MoorlanderEDC Жыл бұрын
They do have that CCW look to them. I guess if people think you may be carrying then they may give you a wider birth
@ROOSTER-ql5fs11 ай бұрын
Me as well but this one looks way less tactical than some others. Also In my experience people outside of the CCW community don’t really see it that way.
@Joeylikecoffee9 ай бұрын
That’s probably because you’re a gun guy as well
@johnhill75856 ай бұрын
That's been my criticism, however they are coming back in style from when they were CC packs. They don't seem to scream "gun" anymore.
@zellfischer10 күн бұрын
I think outside the US no one thinks about carrying a gun when seeing this pack. 😅 There is literally no way to carry one in public in the EU. And i like that.😊

The dimensions don't feel 1.8L to me... 25.5 x 17 x 9.5 cm = 4118 cubic cm = 4.1L I think main pocket is 1.8L, the whole pack should be around 3.5~3.8L (deducting 0.5L for compartmental space loss).
@MoorlanderEDC Жыл бұрын
It didn't add up in my head either. It feels more like a 3.5 to 4 litre pack
@commentingisdangerous75309 ай бұрын
i thought the rat was supposed to be smaller than the possum and the bandicoot fanny pouches. either that guy is tiny or the bag is huge. also, this is advertised as a waist pack and you never once wore it on your waist so we can see how it fits you.

Nice video, mate, keep up the good work. But, using it without 3 points restraint its risky, no offence. When u ll try to open CCW pocket,, u risk to move the RAT under the shoulder. Ofc, in shooting a video in ideal conditions its no problem, but in crisis situations it may become a fck up.
