666 views as I watch this, I see myself as view 667 and breaking the devils hold on you or anyone reading. Ive been having an incredibly difficult time lately and think I found this for a reason. I pray for you brother, I feel for men in the UK/Europe. In the States its still difficult here but current climates across the pond make me feel for my brothers there.

Thanks randy,us men on a whole are crap at talking about our thoughts and feelings,i lost my best friend of 33 years in late 2023,he was just like a brother to me and we used to hunt,fish,hike etc but we also talked about life and we saw each other through breakups,family losses etc,saying this i am sheding a tear,but guys thats ok,if you need to cry about anything just do it.

Good video. You're hitting close to where I am - mentally. For the past 11 years I have regularly been walking the spanish camino - combining my love of hiking and my "nerdish" love of new equipment with my need to turn off my ever worrying mind. Yes I know exactly what you mean with ruminate. Hiking and walking the camino have often helped to fix my position in life. Right now I'm in the planning stage of the next camino - and this time with my recent buy Kahakka 25L. Some years ago it was with the TT-mission pack purely based on your video. Still my favourite pack. So you definitely have an impact. Thanks again bro.

Jesus said "life is not supposed to be easy" We are all here to learn different lessons in every lifetime until we eventually go back to the creator Therefore those that end it early will be reborn again anyway to learn the same lesson They are not shortening there torment they are lengthening it So live a full life until your natural last breath ❤🤍💙

Now I understand why I have always liked having/making different things that hang around the neck- sharpening stones, bamboo whistles, compass, leather pouches, fire starters, etc. It gives you something to focus on, quieting the head noise. A piece of fat wood is nice because the smell will transport you to the wild places. I think my favorite is a Kala brass sundial because it requires some focus to use because it is a bit fiddly and the brass is, well, it’s not plastic. Natural materials seems to work best, wood, brass, copper, stone, leather, etc.

After leaving the comment on your original video regarding using a button compass as an Inception inspired totem for mental health, im glad you did this new video. It takes balls to open up about your mental health and im glad youre doing so much better now. I ended up buying a similar compass made by Marbles from Heinne Haynes. I got my brother one too. They help so well just to take a couple of minutes to clear your mind while looking at them and feeling the weight of the brass! Great for grounding yourself. Thanks for the content and im sure itll help alot of us blokes. 🤜🤛👍

At 30 litres do you think it would work well for an overnighter if you added some external pouches? I am managing really well for 1-3 day trips with a Helikon Matilda and early like the compact nature of it rather than a massive bag. Sadly some mice got at it this winter and ate through some of the straps 🤦♂️ so looking for a new pack that could do the same.
@MoorlanderEDC14 сағат бұрын
Hi, yes, you definitely do overnights with this. I think it's the 4 litre pouches if you're getting the Savotta one. I'm sure they have a size quid and the larger 6lyrs may be too big. The only limitation might be the straps as they're not padded. More weight, more stress to the shoulders. I've made some content on the larger Jääkäri M which does have padded straps. Possible consideration. Thanks for watching

Does it have a proper lockout mode? Thanks
@MoorlanderEDC14 сағат бұрын
Ooooooh, great question. I think it does. Check the Nitecore website. I think it has a quadruple click to lock, or a super hold down. I'm 90% sure it does. Nitecore are really good and you can see the full instruction manual on their site. Hope that helps

@ thank you! I checked the manual and it doesn’t seem to be there. It’s a function I think they all should have even in basic models.

I have a tweed one, Totes brand. The lining is getting worn, but will still last a while longer. I saw one for sale in a thrift store and almost got it, but I was short on money at the time. After looking at some other clothing, I decided I would get it. It was gone! I think someone saw me try it on and put it back, and they grabbed it.

Used to be the mark of a working man back in the day, up in the shipyards on the Clyde they called 'em "bunnets" (bonnet), and you could always pick out the foremen as they traditionally wore bowler hats while all the workers wore their "bunnets". Overjoyed to receive my "bunnet" in the form of a Boston Scally from my brother. Somewhere, I think my Irish ancestors were grinning and hoisting a pint.

Hello again, I’ve now got the watch (again!!) and love it, you’re right, the pedometer does work automatically so that’s great, I’d rather it tracked distance than step though as steps means nothing. By the way the last screen on the A button isn’t sunrise/sunset - i really wish it was - it’s world time 👍🏻
