An awesome piece of gear I've been told. Never owned one myself. In Canada the ones I'm looking at are over 200.00 I do use a Wiggy's Insulated poncho. Basically one of there lamilite sleeping bags turned into a poncho with all the Wiggy's durability and water resistant properties. I do have to modify it with some sleeping pad strap attachments and I way to cinch up the end then it will be perfect. Thanks Nate

Oof, that's pricey. The insulated poncho seems to be about the same benefits. Looks like there's a trade off of not having quite as much versatility but it packs more of an inulative punch. Like you said, a few mods and you'll be golden. Nice!

Wiggy’s hooded poncho liner is $150. Standard Wiggy’s poncho liner with ties is $113. Not too expensive. The Freedom shelters are considerably more. I like the Wiggy’s poncho liners.

Been wanting to get a woobie, but there are so many options out there, it's overwhelming to figureout. This looks, like all that I want in one... well, maybe down filling, but this is a start. Thanks Doc!

Thanks for the great, in-depth review. Out of interest, what chest size are you? I'm 6'3 with a 46" chest, so curious to see if I could fit in the sleeping bag mode.

Thanks! Doc is 5-11, but getting him to run into Vicki's Secret to get that chest measured is taking him a minute lol. Will have to get back to you on that one.

@kingcutt7312, looks like he's a 50" chest. Hope that helps
