Truly amazing how talented Helio Gracie was. He definitely was one of the greatest martial artist of the 20th century. I would say that the only other martial artist the is his equal would be Jigoro Kano - maybe also Kyuzo Mifune.

I wouldnt say the greatest as it most talented. But I would say the greatest in the amazing empire and spread of his art, through his sons. Can you think of any martial art that grew so strong and fast and has real traceable lineage? I cant other than Judo

@@scarred10 well he mustve did something right because if he wasnt around wed all be doing ninjitsu still and thier would not be any grappling circuits aside from amateur wresting and judo comps

@@Seegie16 what we are doing now is due to one man only ,rorion gracie,not helio.Was it not for his UFC creation,bjj would be unheard of outside Brazil, like it was up till the mid 90s from 1920s BJJ and every instructor owes everything to the first UFC.
