One of the most impressive uses of Necropotence I’ve ever seen, insane win

I thought necropotence puts cards in hand at end of turn not during the turn
@AlexMartinez-lr9yy8 ай бұрын
@@garrettanderson1580it does, upon going to discard you use borne upon a wind to play at instant speed and play out your hand before you have to discard
@Kirkland_Signature8 ай бұрын
@@garrettanderson1580 It's at the beginning of your next end step, they cast Borne Upon a Wind so I assume it was either during their end step or at the next player's upkeep that they were able to cast everything at instant speed.

Great game. I'm really glad to see you still run Esika in your list Mons - I've been brewing her pretty hard since Cusa first showed up on your channel forever ago and I think you'd probably love what I'm running these days ^_^

Mons needed to necro deeper so that he could find a piece of interaction. No clue why he only drew up to 7

Hey @pontus I’ve been running Heliod myself lately and was wondering if you had considered running copy artifact? Seems like a great option for this deck. Early game it can copy a mana rock to get Heliod out the following turn, so a slightly worse normal 2 cmc rock. But later it in the game it’s upside is so high, can copy an opponents The One Ring, copy your own chromatic orrery/coveted jewel/gilded lotus/memory jar, or even copy your own phyrexian metamorph or machine gods effigy for another clone effect.

What did I miss? How was he able to cast Necro, exile 35 cards and start casting them without going to his end step to put them in his hand?

Sorry, I'm not understanding how Pontus casts Merchant scroll on the stack while not his turn like that, it's a sorcery.
@AlexMartinez-lr9yy8 ай бұрын
The flip side of Heliod let's Pontus play all his spells at flash speed and his spells are discounted by 1 for each card drawn by his opponents, which was 1 for the start of turn draw

Thanks for getting back to me. I couldn't figure that out. I thought they missed something and I couldn't understand how that happened.

How did necro draw cards when it exiles them and puts them in hand at end of turn?
@danielschmidt71438 ай бұрын
They moved to end step, put necro cards in hand, and before moving to cleanup they cast borne upon a wind to be able to play at flash speed, so they could play the drawn cards before having to discard with necro. everything they did was in their end step
