Excellent image quality.. could this also work with an M42 to EF Confirmation chip adapter.. would you still get some sort of focus beep?

With this lens, you lose autofocus, no matter which adapter. If you install the Helios to an EF mount, so a Full frame, it is much more pronounced, therefore more beautiful.

I guess the Viltrox haters might want to check your video out. Looks perfect. I have the Zenit Helios, I hope it is as sharp as your copy which has the Aperture control on the from of the glass. Mine is back closer where it mounts to the camera.

I find I'm not able to get infinite focus with the viltox because the helios lens actually hits the viltrox lens. Did you solve this with a spacer or something? The images look great btw.

You have to adjust the small lens inside the viltrox, by a rotation.

For some reason when I put mine on my speedbooster it does do anything, or show any lens and then just has an error saying lens isnt connected.

Did you use this with a GH5? If so, did you have to tape over the contacts on the EF-M2?

No I use it with a GH5s. Do not touch the contacts.

"The DC-GH5 will automatically switch to the 'shoot without lens' function when no lens contacts are detected. Je viens de recevoir le Helios 44-2 de russie!! trop cool - toutefois je ne comprends pas: si le helios 44-2 est un 58mm sur un FF Camera -> alors n'est ce pas l'equivalent de 29mm sur un M34? mais en realite c'est un 116mm sur le M43 - par exemple J'ai un lumix 25mm que j'utilise sur mon GH5 qui est equivalent a un 50mm sur un full frame...cant get my head around that one!!??

C'est la même chose avec l'Helios effectivement. L'Helios est un 58mm FF, donc sur un M4/3 il correspond à un 116mm. Il y a un crop factor de x2 sur M4/3. Cependant avec un Viltrox le calcul change est va nous réduire la focale. Donc l'Helios avec un Viltrox 0.71 se rapproche d'un 80mm au final.

@@k.rproductions Hello just put some tape on thé back of the adaptor m42 to ef to disable the electronic and do it behind thé Viltrox ! I manage to make it works with this technique, it will disable the Viltrox electronics and it recognize my lens ! See you

Je suis face au même problème que Yanick, sur Gh5 (non Gh5S), donc pas de fonction sans objectif contrairement à mon Gh4, jusque là j'avais bien lu les commentaires mentionnant la page Panasonic... Mon problème semble au-delà, car je n'arrive pas à faire matcher la bague gobe avec le viltrox , ni sur Gh5 ni sur Gh4... Le même message d'erreur s'affiche, mentionnant un échec de la fixation de l'objectif... À noter aussi qu'il y a un petit jeu entre la bague gobe et le viltrox, que je n'ai pas avec ma bague Eos-mft sans speedbooster. Avez-vous d'autres solutions que je pourrais essayer ? Merci d'avance ! Cordialement

Its better used for photography rather than video. You need to do some work in post to make it look good as this lens seems to desaturate the colours and is slightly soft in its rendition.
