hi may i know, can we design rooftop stand-alone PV system using Helioscope ? I need to do project on designing rooftop stand-alone PV and i need to consider the life cost analysis and break-even for utility bill. based on your suggestion, what software can i use to consider these cost ? Thank you for your kind and help

Hello, Sounds like Helioscope should be able to do many of these things. However, Helioscope is capable of designing only grid-connected solar plants. if you're looking for detailed engineering and solar plant design and energy estimation, I recommend using PVSyst. I wonder how you could make it work on real life. Those lone panels and all the odd array shapes... Helioscope lacks the possibility of move modules around or rearrange arrays to make it work in real life. That is why all videos show square large roofs. This one in the video for example, is not doable on Helioscope for a real life system. Helioscope needs to improve it.
