How do you choose how many inverters you put? Do you just fill each one to its maximum number of panels supported ?

Hi , is it possible to select the number of modules that will display on the rooftop ? Thank you for your reply

Is it possible for user to do shadow analysis in this software???

Why do you put a row spacing of 1 m? That's a lot of space lost can't reduce that to have the panels touching each other almost everywhere and optimize the production?

Is it possible to create a project using BIPV modules in facades?

Hi Paul, So essentially the PV Designer job is quite simple with helioscope. Do you even need any formal training to be a in-house PV Designer? Are to-be PV Designers trained on the job?
@PaulGrana7 жыл бұрын
Hello - the training often depends on the company and role. There is still significant value to formal training for PV design, and there are a number of very good training programs (including Solar Energy International, NABCEP, and Heatspring to name a few). But some companies are indeed training their employees on the job - especially when the role is sales, and PV design is just part of the employee's job.

What about the Users tab?
@PaulGrana8 жыл бұрын
Hello - the Users tab is where you can share access of your Project with other users (and remove them if necessary later on).

This kind of trivializes a bit decision-making processes for an installation meant to last 20 years.How about the shading and horizon mask? How about the obstacles? A 3D design where trees and other buildings' influences on the irradiation? The changing of seasons? (not the same sun trajectory in august and in December for example) This looks like cutting corners and just getting things done a.s.a.p. rather than working on precision. PV Syst has now -9% precision in comparisson to actual values as per a Photon International study, what's yours?

James Santiago I support you, a PV system needs detailed design but for marketing purposes, this can provide a fast response to a client request
@jjbast8 жыл бұрын
CharlesRT I agree... This is a marketing tool. Ergo, saying "we're the new reference" is a bit too much and misleading.
@PaulGrana8 жыл бұрын
Hi James, yes, we have full 3D design support native in HelioScope (and now a way to view everything in 3D), or can also use Horizon files for shade if you prefer that approach. It seems you didn't get a chance to get this far in your initial demo - let me know if you would like to re-open your trial account. Also, regarding the energy yield calculations, PVsyst is the industry standard because for the last decade, the largest developers have created a feedback loop where any discrepancies in production were adjusted in PVsyst. This is why we were required by the banks to make sure that our math is very similar - at first we fought it, but we now see the wisdom in that approach. PVsyst has been the basis of billions of dollars/euros worth of contracts. No offense to Photon, but they don't have nearly the same amount of skin in the game :)

can you export the reports in PDF and excel files ?
@PaulGrana8 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohamed - yes, we export the design layout as a PDF, PNG image with your logo, and a fully-editable CAD file. You can also export the energy calculations as an hourly CSV file.
