Thanks for spreading the word. Are you aware that Helium Mobile tokens are burned with Hex Boosting? What about Mobile token burns associated with each Helium Mobile Hotspot sold? Are you aware that there is a floor price of Mobile? How many projects out there have tokens with a floor price above zero? Some more thoughts to consider.

The definition of "market cap" is completely wrong. Market Cap of a token is not "the amount of users holding and trading Helium Mobile", it is the number of Helium Mobile tokens that are existing multiplied with current market price of the token. The amount of users/holders is completely irrelevant. It doesn't matter at all if e.g. there are as many holders of tokens as tokens exist and everyone is holding one token - or there are only ten holders who each hold 1/10 th of the circulating token supply.

The market cap is calculated by multiplying the circulating supply of tokens by the current market price, as mentioned within the video. I might not have correctly emphasised that it’s a metric to gauge the size of Helium Mobile, opposed to the current trading/holding, so I’ve removed that part to avoid any confusion, which hopefully is now clear within the video.

There are a few other things not quite right in the video, I'll start with a big one: The max supply of MOBILE actually isn't 230 billion tokens, although one can find this number on Coingecko and even on some official Helium docs (I am actually in touch with the Foundation regarding this). What is important to understand is the difference between (a) the sum of tokens that would have been emitted as per the emissions schedule once all tokens that are scheduled to be emitted in the emissions schedule have been emitted - ignoring all other things that can happen in the meantime (e.g. token burns) (b) the current maximum amount of tokens that can ever exist in the future when taking into account that tokens already have been burned and maybe some tokens that were scheduled for emissions weren't emitted. What you use in the video is the number described in (a). But the really meaningful number is (b). If you have a look at the explorer.helium.com/stats dashboard, it's the one in the box "supply limit". This number is currently

Hello, Personally feel burning is good mechanism for the long run, but mobile has a tonne of supply, and a lot of mobile which was never mined during the genesis period, personally wondering where that portion went if it was not burned.

Hello Barbary, Glad you found the video useful. 🙏 With 2 different technologies - the IoT and cellular focus - success in at least one area could significantly influence the rise of HNT. As you mentioned. Mobile token's fluctuations are really volatile, I think that’s mainly due to its absence from major exchanges, so with less volume, sell-offs and pumps by holders and traders are more evident, especially if it’s in large amounts. I’m mainly converting a portion of IoT into Mobile, considering the concentration by the Helium team is mainly mobile now, and also taking the profits when the pumps arise. In regards to the declining HNT market cap, will need to look into that a bit more to better understand the drop in volume. Will try to get round to creating a video on it. 🙏🙏🙏

So even if they allow payments with helium mobile it's not a good way to get demand.. cause the miner manufacture will basically get the tokens and sell them for stable coins or fiat. You really need demand like use mobile to pay for the mobile plan and 10% is burned, that way you at least control the supply, and can get deflationary. For now it only serves the purpose of giving rewards

Hey Diogor, I agree, it's not the most demanding way to drive more utility, but as you mentioned, if there is a burn mechanism attached to it, then it is one way of doing so. Would like to see the Helium team bringing new utility to the token, as It's hard to see it rocket further when it's main use case is to just pay out rewards.

Tbh I believe it is stagnant because the demand for IOT networks is not high compared to say 5G, and I am not sure if it ever will be. For it to gain traction there needs to be global demand for IOT networks rather than just IOT devices. I personally don't think it will have much value over HNT or Mobile or Solana, which is the reason I convert to Solana or Mobile mostly.

I need your help as it been a while l've been disconnected from the world of HNT, though l was away hence l diconnected my Bobcat 300 miner, the question is there any other way to setup the Bobcat minerand and the location, now as l noticed many changes, can we still use this miner to mine HNT? Is port forwarding stillneeded? Heard about the Helium Mobile Hotspot. does that mean the Bobcat miner cannot be use to mine HNT any longer? Please your guide will be appreciated. Hey Bola, how have you been? So now HNT is not mined anymore. All the original hotspots (Bobcat, linxdot, Panther X etc...) all mine IOT now. And the 5G/CBRS radios and mobile Hotspots mine Mobile ( but this is only applicable in the US). In terms of IOT, it is the same concept as before, rewards are provided for coverage, but with less IOT being rewarded, the amount is low, unless the IOT token pumps. Port forwarding has not made much of a difference to be honest to my miners, the only thing that made a difference was the antenna upgrades, but now it's not worth it, better to leave the standard and mine what you can from it and convert within the Helium App. Everything is managable in the Helium Black hotspot app, where you can convert your IOT/Mobile rewards to HNT, USDC or Solana. I hope that helps answer some of your questions, in terms of twitter, I have been of there a while, will be on here most of the time.

Hello CF Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! You've made a good point. Essentially, while Helium Mobile can be converted into HNT, the direct correlation or use cases between the two isn't the same, as each has its own purpose. (HNT used to burn and create Data credits, so data can be sent, and Mobile to reward 5G/mobile users and make mobile payments). HNT thrives as the primary native token of the company and its success isn't solely tied to Helium Mobile, it can be on any project, tech etc that sits underneath it that’s out there now or will come in the future. For instance, say IOT token's performance rises in comparison to Mobile's based on the demand and use of the coverage, the value of HNT can go up whilst mobile goes down). Personally I feel as the project grows and if mobile does succeed and HNT fully depends on Mobile, then both will have a similar trajectory in terms of trading. If IOT and mobile both flourish then HNT can rise much faster than mobile. It's an interesting topic defo worth exploring further 👍

I think it will rally, especially when all alt coins take off based on the topic of DEPIN. Sold a good portion at 00.64, now just holding and being patient, for the remaining to rocket up. Hopefully the bull 🐂 comes in full throttle in a few months.
