honestly the poly capo is freaking nuts. now I have all these guitars in different tunings but with the poly capo I really only need 1 lol. I was really surprised at how little delay or anything I got from it.

I've been tinkering and tinkering with the damn Poly Capo and Poly Pitch blocks for so long and was wondering why things sounds so bad for me, but great for you. I come to find out I was running the Poly block *after* all my other blocks. I was so ready to write it off but that was the only thing I needed to change. And I probably wouldn't have noticed if I never saw this video.

Very good video. I think the Helix/Stomp is fantastic; i've been using mine to downtune my guitar and my brother's bass at the same time! I tried both the poly pitch and the poly capo but i can't tell a real difference between both blocks in terms of downtuning. Have you noticed any difference?

Great video brother. It is interesting because when I used it before I felt like it didn’t sound right. But then I hear videos and it sounds great. It makes me wonder how much of it is in my head. It’s like when you get your car back from the shop and you are hyper alert to every sound it makes and you think there’s something wrong with it but it’s just overthinking. Who knows. I’m definitely giving it another shot now though after seeing is.

I'm a bit confused with these new effects: polypitch, polycapo, simple pitch... To be clear, what's the difference between polypitch and polycapo ?

There are old " vintage" effects before poly effects were introduced. Vintage does not use so much dsp and sound quality is not the best. Poly capo goes up and down one octave. Poly wham goes down 3 octaves and up to 2. There are different scenarios where to use them. Poly capo is a fixed shift while poly wham allows smooth transition between semitones via expression pedal

could i use an hx stomp to run 2 different guitar rigs at the same time? one left with polypitch for 1 rig and one right with polypitch? the hx stomp would not be used for anything buy pitch shifting

That only thing I am not a fan of is just how much DSP power poly capo and poly tune consumes with the HX Stomp. You can only have two other blocks in addition to poly tune/capo

Hoping someone here can help with an issue I'm having. I just got my Helix a few days ago. For any of the pitch settings I try to use I get both the pitched signal as well as the original signal in my audio. I've watched multiple videos like this and follow the settings they use to the letter and still have the same issue. With this problem none of these are usable for me.

I'd love to use it but some the patches I use have crowded signal chains, and from what I understand the poly capo eats up darn near 25% of it - is that true?

At 12:06 section, it looks like you switched to Poly Pitch instead of Poly Capo. Is there a major difference between the two? Also, what hardware are you running for this? For the first part of the video it looks like all your DSP may be used - so if you were using a more complex patch would it let you utilize the poly? (The Poly Pitch is grayed out when using the amp&cab)

I am in Helix Native and it doesn't track nearly that well for me. Wonder if there's a difference using hardware. Shouldn't be, but who knows haha.

Im looking to get the HX Stomp and use it ONLY for the poly capo function to be controlled by midi. My question is this...is there enough DSP to run 2 poly capo's at the same time? Keep in mind i wont be running any other FX from it at all.

Nope. The Stomp only has room for one poly effect at a time. If you want to run two, you’ll need a second stomp or a full Helix/LT.

Because I have to send a signal to the house and to a cab poly capo is never an option I have to use the poly pitch.

Some clean sounds would’ve been useful and a better gauge. It’s easy to cover up artefacts with a ton of gain but I suppose that’s your thing 👍

I don’t mind fat jokes, I mean it’s really punching down. (I assume you won’t understand that reference based on your sentence structure) but what bothers me is the people that usually make them have nothing more in the tank. Clearly you really thought this was funny. I get it, trolling anonymously insulting people on the internet appeals immensely to the lowest common denominator. It’s ok, I don’t blame you it’s the education system clearly. Ohhh and if you need clean examples, load the firmware and try it yourself or do you play at a 2nd grade level too?

@@GearZombie haha look he tried to act clueless. Plus people give pitch demos with higher gain because that where they really hit their stride so to speak. Really hard to make pitched clean tones not sound cheap or awkward. Noobs.
