=====================
In this episode, meet Norwegian-Italian author and journalist Kristin Flood as she discusses her journey of retelling Dante's "Inferno" in Norwegian rhyme. She delves into the poem's allegorical layers, emphasizing Dante's descent into the underworld where he meets lost souls and confronts the darkest facets of human nature. Flood explores whether the poem serves as a literal warning about the consequences of our actions after death or symbolizes the inner shadows we must face. She suggests that "The Divine Comedy" mirrors the way shadows, like trolls in the light, must be acknowledged and confronted to be overcome, revealing deeper truths about our inner selves.

So very interesting. As a child I grew up with a father who was a philosophy professor at UCLA. When I was a child in the 50’s he would have students over and they would discuss different books and philosophies, and I heard Dante’s name mentioned many times. Now I’m 80 years old and I’m finally understanding what Dante’s writing was about! Thanks for having this guest in your show! Loved this interview and discussion. 🙏❤️👵🏼

The key for me is, "responsibility". I know so many people that do not want to research or to learn. I feel that may be the very thing holding them back. She describes this nicely. Thank you for the sharing.

It was such an interesting interview. Thank you so much❤ I remember the writer Henry Miller talked about 'Den guddommelige komedie' as an experience of his life. In its whole story. He went through a lot of disasters and poverty, difficult relationships - that actually gave birth to his art. In the end, when he was old, he experienced only bliss, only pure joy. Dantes Paradise. He said: You have to go through it all, accept it, learn from it, and then Paradise awaits you. That was his experience. In a way it is what Jesus did too. There are two forms of spiritual growth: To go through it all - life, Hell, Paradise - in you own life - like Jesus, Dante, and many others have done. Or: To transcend. Eckhart Tolle has written about it. For instance. I am fascinated about those 3 parts of life. The number 3. It can tell about childhood, adulthood and elder hood. It can tell about birth, death and rebirth. It can tell about summer, winter, spring. When we watch our night dreams, we dream in the same form: As a theatre play: In 3 parts. Karen Blixen said: There only exists one story in the whole world. And that is: Birth, death and rebirth. It is everywhere. ❤

I was in hell, i grow up in a strong patriarchal environment, my ideas, voice, my essens didn't matter. Thanks to God i get depressed after many years of trying to fitt in. My old world crumbled to make space to acceptance, stand up for myself and forgivness. I think boys are also victims of the patriarchal society. Many learn very early on to take advantage of that but still some men go with that feeling of not belonging. I believe that it s toff to become " a man" act like the flock. We end up all of us in the same pattern, self destructiive behavio and rebelion , not being aligned with our soul. Falling to much in the feminine energy dosen t hjelp either, It has to be balance I think. Thank you all for sharing.

Christianity seems to have started out as a mushroom cult so a slide into psychosis seemed to be inevitable for many who partook of the sacrament. To add to the problem the god of the Bible and the Abrahamic faiths tells us he is agathokakological for example best illustrated through the mouth of Isaiah: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. I enjoyed watching you interview Kristin in that way and will get the book as I am a bibliotaph.
