Spoiler warning, (Explains why he's able to do this kind of stuff) Gabimaru is able to use Fire because of something called "Tao" it is the very essence of soul and body or so called "Life Force" There are 5 types of elements, Water, fire, earth, metal, wood. Gabimaru was born with Fire Tao. To why it doesn't burn him, because the training he did at the iwagakure village got him to imbue his own bod with tao. As of right now he doesn't even realise it. Also explains why he's so strong and durable.

An example of what I would consider amazing is what Cloverworks did with Bocchi the rock where they added like several minutes worth of content each episode to enhance the manga. Not just adapting panel by panel.
