I'll take 800 horsepower with a factory warranty all day. I agree with your comment. The upcoming S650 GT500 will be closer to 900 horsepower but likely a limited edition. I also believe Rob (Palm Beach) is working on a Dark Horse regarding tuning the Gen 4 Coyote. I also believe he confirmed Ford's 500 Dark Horse horsepower rating on his Dyno.

Lets not forget they are still building the new Ford GT in the Mark 4 version. Only 67 will be built in homage to the 1967 M4 that won Sebring and Lemans. Great video here too. Fantastic news with the FP800s.

The only bad part is how expensive this is going to be... The GT500 is around 100k give or take, i've seen a few around 86k but that's still used and 5-20k miles or so. a base gt is 50-60k already, and on top of that, you have a supercharger package, which I guess will be 10-20k more... so now you've got an 80k car. I hate to say it but it seems like ford is going to milk this hardcore because they know they have the last v8 car right now for 2024... Unless they do like the S550 boost packages and run the 59,995 deal for 800hp... then maybe it'll be more affordable for others, but with markups... you're still looking at 70k potentially ... It's good, but The world is killing car culture... it's sad. Not gonna stop me from modding my car, but i'm better off spending 20k re-doing a lot on my car than buying a brand new one, no matter how much hp it has.

Ford isn't milking anything. All I kept reading was no tuning or superchargers. Now the S650 Gen 4 Coyote has a Whipple supercharger available with a Ford factory warranty or you can go with a ProCharger who introduced their supercharger at SEMA. But with no factory warranty. It's up to the owner to add the performance parts. Your going to pay the prices you mentioned on an S550 or any other Coyote Mustang. The difference is the S650 Whipple package includes the Ford factory warranties which is fantastic. Especially if you have an issue with your car including the engine. Personally. Considering the cost of a new Dark Horse snd the high interest rates being charged for financing. I'll enjoy mine stock for at least the first year. Regarding a pre-owned GT500. I looked at a 2020 with 9000 miles for $80,000 and a 2021 with 3000 miles for $85,500. A 2021 and newer GT500 should still have some factory warranty or purchase a CPO with factory warranty. In my region the new 2023 are mostly gone with a couple listed around $100,000+ on dealer lots. I was surprised the pre-owned GT500 were advertised as collector cars which is likely an honest statement. The issue is the $1741 payments for a 72 month $100,000 GT500 with $10,000 down with an interest rate that can be 9% and over unless you finance for 36 months. That's with a solid credit rating.

Ayyy I attended Avondale campus in the middle of the covid bullshit. 51 week course took 2 years lol. New wave of techs are really tech and dyno/tuning oriented. Big hp and cray swaps comin so the next decade or so is gonna be interesting to say the least. Nic Cage donated his Ford GT he signed to the location (nephew went there) and there’s an s2000 that only runs the dyno and one of the teachers has a home built rx8 3k hp. UTI can be very beneficial and Ford works hand in hand with them in their locations. Pretty cool collab.

@@pheonixfps9248 Oh. I was not aware of issues with Roush but I knew they were more expensive. The Beechmont Ford high performance build coordinator told us Roush was better because they used a significantly more engineers to develop their products. When new Beechmont Ford installed a Roush level 2 power pack which consists of cold air intake, axle back exhaust, and 93 octane computer tune on our 2017 GT 401A manual. It went from 435 to an advertised 480 horsepower. It was warrantied too. Our car still runs great except for the light ticking from the bottom of the engine and moderate oil consumption due to piston slap since brand new. They repeatedly refused to fix the problems. They stayed it was normal. Also, it has peeling grabber blue paint around the rear windshield and trunk seam which they repeatedly refused to repair too. Other than that the car is mostly great lol.

@MrJJeffers the cooler for the rousch 18+ is terrible and known for having issues that lead to detonation and the engine grenading. The core is still a TVS core, which is no different than any other TVS core. If you want 2650, Harrop. vmp, Elderbrock all have far superior products, whipple is better in the top end, tvs better in the low end. And centrifugal is better for repeated use ie on track.

Don't be fooled they said the same thing about the ford performance/Roush supercharger. These are aftermarket parts. Dealers will not know what to do with the warranty or will try not to repair your vehicle because it has aftermarket parts. Did they upgrade the cats. Stock mustang cats don't last on supercharged cars. The fp800 is a package by ford performance not a ford trim. Good luck if you fall for it.
