Did the True Precision barrel increase the Hellcat's accuracy?

I can confirm this is true. I noticed out of the box I was having a rough time with poa/poi on my Hellcat Pro. I had to aim high to hit where I wanted to hit. I happened to get a True Precision barrel because I had the stock barrel ported and I wanted a non-ported barrel as an option as well, for shooting some local competitions that do not allow for ported barrels. I immediately noticed that my poa/poi with the stock iron sights was instantly more precise and accurate. I no longer had to aim high to get the shot where I wanted it to go. Now, where my irons are is where the shot hits. Now for some science. I was practicing for a match and a friend of mine was shooting her, brand new completely stock, HCP for the very first time at the range. I had her try mine which has a Hogue grip, MCarbo trigger kit, MCarbo titanium striker kit, and DPM recoil springs. She said mine felt snappier to her and asked me to try hers to compare. I tried hers and instantly could not hit anything I was aiming at. To this point, I was kicking ass with my HCP but with hers, it was like I had never shot a pistol before. Then it dawned on me that she had the stock Springfield barrel and, for me, that confirmed that the stock barrel just isn't that accurate for some reason. Anyone who says that it's a shooter issue most likely does not have any experience shooting the stock Hellcat. I would also like to add that this issue was happening right out of the box, before I made any modifications and continued after I made the modifications. If I hadn't tried hers after using mine with the True Precision barrel, I'm sure I would never have realized the issue was with the barrel and not with my shooting ability. I'm no Grand Master or anything, but I am definitely an advanced intermediate shooter, and getting better each week. I have placed 19th overall in a competition of over 100 shooters as well as 2nd in my division. The last competition I shot in I placed 5th in my division and 22 overall out of about 100 shooters. So again, not a pro but definitely not a bad shooter either.

I’m trading my hellcat for the gx4. I want the hump in the backstrap. As for hellcat I did polish the shit out of trigger parts and now don’t pull low left near as bad. I also realised that after working several police involved shootings, I remembered that NONE of hem ever saw the sights of their pistol. They saw bad guys gun and bad guy and pointed their gun and fired. These micros don’t need red dots. IMHO.

I would agree that most real-world incidents, statistically, happen within the 3-3-3 format. Within 3 feet, in 3 seconds, and involve 3 or fewer shots. Using sights is fun, and it's great to build skills at range with these little pistols, but not only will you go to jail for shooting anyone at a distance over about 5y 99% of the time, but it's almost unheard of to see an attack coming in time and from a distance that you could utilize sights the way you would while casually shooting at the range. As far as the GX4 is concerned, it's a very capable handgun, and I like mine alot. I, personally, wouldn't want to give up my Hellcat for one, though. But I really never get rid of guns....

For what it's worth, if I purchase a gun and have to replace a trigger or barrel to make it shoot good it's going down the road...just me. Anyway another enjoyable video. Merry Christmas to all

I agree that they shouldn't need upgrades to work correctly. But the reality of any manufactured machine is that sometimes they have defective parts or need alterations to suit their end user. Coming from professions in music and motorcycle racing, it's virtually unheard of to have a bike work at 100% right off the showroom floor, and guitars are the same. Rare not to have to replace something with a higher quality or differently styled part.

I subbed a week ago after I heard your dialect. I thought… hmmm… sounds like the modern dialect north of the GA piedmont region or metro Atlanta…..dang if I wasn’t right….I grew up in piedmont region of Augusta and then Douglas county. Almost went to UGA…..RTR! Lol

Thanks for this video. I was starting to think I couldn't shoot anymore. My Hellcat has been a challenge, and there is quite the learning curve. Any thoughts on the Precision threaded barrel?

Thanks for watching! My thoughts on a threaded barrel in general are that I don't want to add any size whatsoever to my day to day carry gun, so I wouldnt want to go that direction. If I carried the Hellcat OWB, I would likely have a much different opinion. But if I carried OWB, I'd probably also choose a larger gun like a G19 or the like. And since I always carry IWB and fully concealed, the last thing I want to do is add size to any of the pistols I use that way daily. If it was just being used as a shooter, I like threaded barrels. So, I guess it depends on how you intend to use yours.

You literally cannot even shoot as accurate as the barrel is mechanically capable of. Its 1000000% a skill issue if your groups are bad with the hellcat.
