I do enjoy the auto cannon, but it's certainly has it's weaknesses. The lack of penetration does make it pretty hard to use against some of the bigger targets, outside of weakpoints. However, it can clear up just about every enemy if you're in the right position. The autocannon Sentry however, is a completely different story. That thing will eat through everything. As long as it's got a good target, and doesn't get overrun. It'll chew through chargers, bile titans, hulks, tanks, and any other thing they throw at it.

Auto-cannon Rounds have small explosions when they hit. These work to close up bug holes by hitting the back of the hole just like using an impact. You can also ricochet auto-cannon shots into either one of bot fabricator exhaust vents

Still having a hard time with it against the factories, but I use if for long range bug nest clears all the time. I've hit the sweet spot on a factory from time to time, but nothing consistent yet, still getting up that skill.

Definitely not OP. I feel like it needs a tiny bit more boom. They need to leave the good weapons alone and buff up the stuff thats lacking. I.e. all the primaries outside the breaker, speed loader for the revolver secondary, etc

Fun fact: the autocannon seems to have a Luger action, telltale sign of the lever at the top that rise each time you shoot

Autocannon decimates Chargers, dodge the charge, shoot its front leg from behind, this will crack it. Shoot the same leg again and the Charger is dead in 2 shots. Get some strategems for the titans, a primary for horde clear like the SMGs and there's nothing the bugs can throw at you that you can't annihilate. Full build: engineer kit armor, SMG, full auto pistol, impact nade. Autocannon, Eagle airstrike, orbital laser, eagle 110mm. Got me my first Helldive clear Side note: Arc Thrower + Dominator primary is hella fun

Oh nice, didn't realize the flamethrower had such good range, from my perspective using it i couldn't really tell how far it goes since we're always getting swarmed

It's actually a fairly powerful weapon against even things like chargers as well, since it basically ignores armor you can just blast the crap out of them. Not sold on it for the automatons yet though.

Is that autocannon specific? Just wondering, because I've heard of this, and I was curious if there were other methods outside the railgun and the front legs. I actually had some minor success at taking down a Charger using the Slugger. Seems like it has to be hit just right, but a few shots to the front armor will rip the armor off. This is very hit or miss though, so it's not easy from what I've seen in my testing. I just know it can be done.

So many weapons in this game offer different play styles and advantages. The community needs to be open to other weapons. Flamethrower for instance is really slept on. It can horde clear really well. It also catches the ground on fire which is like having a napalm strike on a zero second cooldown. It’s also the only support weapon that deals DOT so paired with more powerful weapons like the slugger it goes crazy.

Autocannon can 2 shot the charger. Charger has a bug when it runs straight at you and you dodge it will stop turn around and face back to you. Once it starts turning, any leg you choose will be able to be hit for full damage for any weapon regardless of what indicators you get. Just pick one leg and fire twice with the autocannon and it will go down.

bro, if everything is "overpowered" - that's what OP means - nothing is. and the AC isn't OP, if anything it could use slightly better armor pen to compete with the railgun. (or variable ammo types, either way.)

Its my go to heavy after getting bored of the rail gun, it can deal with almost everything, no bile titans tho but everything else ive been fine specially against bots

Op for robots though 3 shots all mid enemies 1 shots walkers with accuracy 3 shots walking tanks the explosion also provides great cover fire as it always stuns/rocks the bots

It is an effective weapon. My kill count tanked with it but I enjoy using it. I still have to get used to using other tools with it.
