Every time you post a video with Halo music I hit a huge nostalgia train. Playing Gravemind hits all the harder. The fact that old school Bungie worked horror into a sci fi shooter was such an epic thing. The whiplash from fighting losing battle after losing battle against a technologically superior enemy only to end up in a "THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE WALLS!" scenario was amazing. The Library has to be my favorite level of any shooter I have played.

I miss old school Bungie. I just remember being scared sh*tless on the library level. I been fighting the “wort wort worts” and the small grunts and jackals and then suddenly I’m thrown into a horror film so I definitely agree 🤣

I remember having my movie moment on The Automatons front: Difficulty 7, with 3 friends, ice + meteors planet (I think), Orbital laser and eagle airstrike with supply-pack and Heavy MG. The bots have the Eye Tower spamming dropships and the Gunship Facility on, I get cornered by hulks, a tank and "kamikaze" bots, I take down everything with the machine gun and my secondary (The grenade pistol) while I drop the laser down on the tank, taking down ground units with the airstrike, then try to take down the gunships, I take one down, while the other gets taken down by a well placed Quasar shot, then my teammates took down the Gunship Facility. I start holding the bots back so my teammates can take down the Eye Tower, I crouch and start SPRAYING with the Heavy MG, the reloading time were the worst, the bots would knock me out with explosions and grenades, but when reload was over, the spraying starts again, taking down 24 bots and a hulk, there was a hellbomb on a rock, I shoot it, bring as much bots as possible near it killing, not many, but still 18 or so, then the eye tower explodes with a second hellbomb, my sacrifice slowed down enough the bots for my teammates to take the Eye Tower down, then when I got my stuff back I gave everyone a resupply from my backpack. That was so cinematic it's a shame I don't have screenshots of that mission.

I agree, it tends to be game over once the Stalkers show up. Last night while playing with some really good randoms we encountered Stalkers which decimated almost all our reinforcements. Luckily one diver found the nest and eliminated the problem….

I know that Bungie or 343 said they planned to make an odst game like this But I gotta say, id prefer for it to have been Spartans. The halo music, the flood instead of bugs, elites for illuminate, forerunners for automatons. I usually pick the same ones every mission. Sometimes I’ll branch out to another stratagem, but for the most part I only use 500 kg, HMG turret, Machine gun, the last stratagem is usually variable

I made a tutorial, hiding the HUD components will still show teammate’s hp bars. You need to keybind the toggle for HUD
