I heard from a video they were making an ODST game with a similar idea at the time but can't recall the reasons as to why it didn't come out or went through, I'm lazy to find it again but I'd like to remember if it had something to do with the parent company thinking it wouldn't sell well. Ahhh, you are so lucky!! Literally my favorite situation in helldivers: gunships, & jammers. My knees get weak when i see gunship factories while jammed. Its just perfect. Even better when you get a detector, jammer, & a gunship factory or two.

lets not forget the combo with detector+gunship factory+ jammer+Factory Strider+HULK X2, a squad of devastators(4) and rocket devastators(3). Happened today took almost 18mins to clear that one area.

You can stim while in the turret ;) fantastic use of it by the way and wonderful video. All the stratagems are great but the HMG (and others) forces you to take control of where liberty is dispensed directly. You are locked in, immobile, its you versus the enemies of Super Earth with nowhere to go but through them or Valhalla.

To add one more HMG Emplacement tip on top of the stim comments I've been seeing: the gun can also shoot through the front plate on Scout Striders and kill the pilot directly! The Heavy Devastators still need you to shoot around their shield, though.

maaaannn that was risky, only because of how stationary you were - usually - cuz I just go around with the deployable shield everywhere on bot missions - when I see a player drop the HMG, I drop the shield next to them. helps out quite a bit in that whole "survivability" aspect. still. good picking out which gunships were going to fire and when - because you nailed it. timing was excellent, chef's kiss perfect. very fun to watch.
