hunters are genuinely the most deadly bug in the game. Not only are they programmed to flank you, but they slow you too... Also that one hunter almost killing you after tanking 2 point blank breaker shots was kinda funny.

It's insane, no other enemy in the game puts that much pressure on you like they do. If you get hit once, you really should stim, because with how fast and lethal their combos are, you could be dead in less than 2 seconds, and if they land a crit, you're dead on the next hit.

Warning as I prefer bots but I kinda prefer it this way? Forces me think whereas I can just plow through chargers and BTs. For the bots the jetpack bots kinda do the same. Not the most dangerous per say but it'll definitely throw me into a panic. Hell if I was the lead fabricator general of the bots I'd fill all the low level bots with explosives and have them attempt to bum rush everything 😂

Yeah if the pelican takes lots of damage it will start smoking, if it's still there then only one person can get in. So pass samples to one person and they get on if you think it's damaged. But yeah think rarely it can take so much damage that he just leaves.

i use this load a lot, but with a few changes. I use the Defender, Flamethrower, shield backpack, impact incendiaries, and light engineering armor. same eagle strikes as you. My kill record with it was on a level 8 mission, and i got 1976 kills.

I don't like how many hunters spawn on bug missions. It's super fun when there are dozens of warrior bugs coming at you. Whether you're just spraying rounds into them, or headshotting them with a shotgun accurately, it's great fun to fight those enemies. With hunters, you're getting headshotted constantly, hit with 3 hit combos all the time which all interrupt animations, slowed all the time, you're getting surrounded and pinned down, body blocked, and their leap attacks never have their desired intended effect of making you shit your pants, they're just frustrating and patronising because they homing lock onto your head every time, and they dive through physical objects in the scenery to get to you. It's not fun gameplay when there are more than 3 to 5 on you. When they throw more than that, you're probably going to have to dive and stim and reload and repeat, so against more and more hunters you're just diving and stimming and diving and stimming and reloading and running and diving and stimming and reloading it's just fucking frustrating gameplay. It's even fun fighting just 3-5 with melee attacks, it's actually fun to try to parry their attacks and interrupt their dive bomb attack with fucking fisty cuffs if there's only a small group of them. IT'S ONLY FUN FIGHTING LOADS OF HUNTERS if you have a STALWART, and a SHIELD PACK. I would honestly argue for a chance to how they spawn. No, they don't just swarm forth from a bug breach, or any old bug hole. They actually spawn constantly in small groups and actively hunt the Helldivers on the field, from STALKER lairs. Imagine that? If Stalkers didn't just APPEAR AND CLEAVE HALF Y OUR TEAMS LIVES 90% of the way through the mission, instead, you could track their young back to the nest from the start of the game if you wanted.

Awesome gameplay. I've been enjoying your videos! Maybe orbital precision strike would be better for this solo challenge - harder to hit than 500kg but still 1 shots bile titans and has a short cooldown. You would have one ready about every time a BT spawns. You could also refresh your napalm faster without having to share the eagle slot with 500kg. The impact flame grenades are great and doing a lot of work - but stuns may be worth a shot. You could stun those big waves of hunters and actually get to use the flamethrower before they hop all over you. You would have constant stuns and could really put flamethrower to work, and have a much easier time with chargers. I think you could get to 2k kills if you can optimize your charger/BT kills to spend more time fighting breaches. I bet without 500kg in eagle spot you could squeeze out a few more napalms as well. Need to see that 2k game!

Funny you mention the fire pistol. Helldivers 1 actually had a side arm flamethrower with reduced range and ammo capacity, but the same damage as the full sized model.... Would LOVE to bring that to bug missions with things like the Dominator to easily deal with annoying Hunter Waves.

The Pelican-1 has HP too and will leave if it is damaged at a limit. The first bile titan blearched on the engine then during extract you can see the second one was doing it too which I would guess made it reach the extract limit and leave immediatelly (I guess Pelican 1 costs more than the max 4 helldiver it can carry).

I suspect that the pelican driver did take the constant prank calling personally. Maybe close bug holes to increase spanw rate? Great mission. Sometimes the swarming was a bit excessive and you could not use that flamer well. Would you consider stun grenades instead of flame grenades?

Stop throwing stratagems on the ship and you won't have this issue. There's two states of damage for the ship: Engines are smoking/small flames. The ship will leave after the 1st person boards. The plane has considerable fire coming from it: the ship is too damaged to fly. You can try to get on but you won't be able to. There's two solutions: run outside the extraction zone so another pelican is sent, and if that doesn't work, then run the timer down to zero so an emergency extraction is called.

@@thepromman there is a timer, it should be respected by the game no matter what, nowhere its said what can cause pelican one to take off early and stuff like that, its random crap to cause forced "funny moments", like most stuff in the game. sometimes it takes off after he says the line "20 second left" or so, people in squad are scared to get in first, because he could take off randomly, its stupid.

i just did high priority extraction mission level 9 and we had bile titans spawn until the game crashed. 4 on screen with 2 more spawning. we failed after 10 mins of running around. we killed about 8-12 and they just kept coming. then the game crashed because so much was happening. perfectly balanced i love this game so much

Problem with Takibo is he played on the map with Sandstorms. He wouldn't pick it if he knew this will be a competition, but it is already expected since he started the trend. I'm pretty sure everyone else will be doing the same and he will be choosing a different map with more favorable conditions and spawns. This competition will be interesting. I will watch Ohdough, Takibo and now ThiccFilA with these type of content.

yeah there was like 6 seconds left, but the pelican was taking damage from the BTs etc. I think The ship taking damage and evacuating with one or no helldivers makes sense, just might not be stated out there anywhere. Random folks like to throw stratagems on the pelican at the end but probably don't realize it can cause it to take-off prematurely due to that. I'm not 100% certain, but there's definitely a correlation with the pelican taking-off early and it being hit by BTs, strategems, etc.

If pelican 1 is in hover mode does the extraction spawn rate continue? That would reduce downtime and be more firepower. As long as pelican kills count towards mission kills so he doesn't tank the count with his help, anyway.

42:47 that actually makes sense because bile titans can destroy the heavy armored shrieker nests and spore spewers so it makes sense that they should be able to damage eachother as well, but now that i think about it autocannon can destroy those as well but it virtually does nothing to bile titans and the chargers heavy armor parts, it just ricochets off. Does that mean there is an armorclass between heavy and medium that we are not told about? And the bile titan spew can damage chargers and strip their armour so then maybe there is another armor class betwen tha..... okay now im just confused.

Not a bug, the ship can take damage. It has 3 thresholds: minor damage, where it'll wait for everyone. Major damage, where the engines are smoking and/or on fire, and it'll leave after the 1st person boards. Destroyed, where the ship has considerable flames coming from it, and you can no longer get in. In the last situation try leaving the extract zone so another pelican gets sent, or run the timer down to zero, at which point an emergency pelican will be sent. In this video the bile spewers were spewing on the ship causing it damage. You can see one spewing on it when it took off with 6 seconds left. The ship does take damage, so don't throw stratagems on it to clear enemies - draw them out and then eliminate them.

I've noticed that there are WAY more enemy spawns when I redo a mission after being disconnected (esp if I've been dc'ed/quit multiple times), I hate it but that might be good for you as you want enemy spawns Though it has been a long time since I tested this as my internet is better now but hey, theres nothing wrong with trying right

In my experience the flamethrower doesn't work very well when playing with others. You'll be very close to the enemies so the others will either kill you with their air/orbital strikes or they won't be able to use them effectively because they don't want to kill you. Either way, it holds the team back and takes the fun away for someone.
