Which is why the railgun was "nerf" even though it didn't fix the problem because the damage is still there. But don't worry, unless you're playing 8+ difficulty and with a squad of people you know. The "meta" isn't a much needed that people make it out to be. It only needed at those high level difficulty and joining onto random lobbies that barely communicate.

Hi Jev! I just wanted to leave a comment with some of the things I wish I knew when I first started the game and will definitely help you out! - The orbital precession strike you start the game with is actually one of the best early game ways to deal with heavily armored enemies like chargers. It has a low cooldown and is very reliable as long as you throw it accurately! Getting the ship module “exploding shrapnel” makes it even more reliable. - The eagle airstrike and cluster bombs are extremely useful. The airstrike has a lower AOE, but does more damage and can destroy building and close bug holes. The cluster bomb is way better at clearing out large groups of weak enemies since it has very little armor penetration. -The Expendable Anti Tanks (EATS) are probably the best way to deal with most heavily armored weapons since they have a ridiculously low cool down and do fantastic single target damage! As if the recent update, I’m pretty sure they one shot chargers if you hit them in the head! - The Anti material rifle is a good early weapon for bots and the stalwart is good for bugs. The Autocannon is also really good! - while there are meta choices, any armor and weapon can absolutely be effective, so just use what makes you have the most fun! It’s a very passionate community and it seems like you’ve ran into a few bad apples, but I promise most of us are here to just have fun and to spread democracy! I’m always happy to answer any questions or give you a hand when you get to the higher difficulties! Take care man!

The scatter bomb eagle is good for dealing with swaths of enemies but not so great against armor or destroying buildings. It’s also good at killing teammates. The rocket strafe thing that’s the eagle also does is really good, since it can close bug holes and destroy automaton fabricators.

Jev, what they mean by not completing the mission is that you didn’t complete the operation or close every bug nest/fabricator. The bug nests/fabricators are the red circles on the map. You need to beat each mission for every operation to have it count towards a win and to advance the difficulty. The triangle symbols on the world map are the operations and you can see each mission when you click the operation. The game doesn’t explain this lmao. The main problem w/ this is that when you join other peoples games they are the host, so when you beat a mission and then the host leaves, you lose progress towards that operation because it is only saved on the host ship. And BTW I agree with what you said about not knowing what the stratagems do until you use/see them but the cluster bomb example doesn’t work because it says it doesn’t destroy building lol.

A few tips: - Keep moving, stand still for too long and you die. - Those Hunters slow you down. They're infuriating; shotty blast to the face mostly solves it. - Keep distance from the horde. You can run and reload. - Playing solo will make the game exceedingly more difficult. - The game does get easier with stratagems (dealing with heavy enemies). 500KG, railcannon, orbital laser.

so, if you wanna get a good preview of what each stratagem does just go to your ship menu, where you can buy more. The eagle ones that have a very short throw time are really good.. you did pick a great loadout though, so kudos there lol. Also, when there's a "Destroy this area" obj there will be a "Hellbomb" option in your stratagems. Its free to throw down, then once it lands you'll have to activate it. Then run! LOL Also, for now, every team gets two free mechs.

Some tips for everyone. 40min missions with multiple objectives it's best to split into 2 teams and clear all side objectives before you complete primary objectives. If you run out of time in your mission it's not over for your team yet, though your destroyer will leave you behind and you will no longer have access to reinforcements or stratagems If you complete all primary objectives an emergency exfil will be on its way and will become your new primary mission to get to. Final tips: a red beam means death and a blue beam means supplies and all strafe stratagems will come in perpendicular to the direction of your camera

FYI, Eagle Clusterbomb is dropped perpendicular to where you throw the strategem. There are other strikes that run parallel. On the ship, the videos of each strategem show how each one works. You'll be able to figure the rest out after watching it a few times

The breaker is a burst shotgun meaning you can tap and hold and it’ll shoot 3 shots. There’s no real limit on it either just continue tapping and holding and it’s an auto shotgun. The incendiary one in the premium pass is much better than the regular one too, my personal favorite primary

A good tip is to read the descriptions on the different stratagems, they will have a short bit of its disadvantages (clusters don't destroy buildings and fire sucks on robots) Didn't use the gas for minute but when I went to buy it I realized it was effective against both bugs and automatons. It also saved me a few times from buying certain stratagems like the jetpack, thought it was gonna be more in line with the first game.

Hey Jev! The gun/class setup is the same one I run and it makes it easy to kill things faster. The Arc Thrower helps big time as it penetrates the bugs armor PLUS it has a chain effect with unlimited ammo so you don’t need to reload! Downside is that you’ll need to charge it BUT the time to charge is 2sec. I usually run Arc Thrower, 500K bomb, Cluster, and Shield backpack in all my runs. Suits also have some buffs so try some out and see which one suits your play style best. I started running the suit that gives you 2 extra stems (only cause I’m always dying). Hope this helps you with spreading democracy!

Completing a mission means completing all the missions within a campaign (the orangish yellow boarded area when selecting the triangle shaped sections) Once you get higher levels there are up to 3 missions you complete to complete that campaign to help progress liberation on the planet

Play how you want really. Meta does not really matter in difficulty 1-6. Even in 7-9 its about avoiding unnecessary combat more than anything. Just play the game and find what works for you. Which means leveling up to find stuff that you like first then you can try soloing things. If you want a tip for loadouts then your goal is to be a jack of all trades but lean into something. Whether that is taking out heavy armor or clearing the fodder enemies. Some things work great against the bugs and somethings work great against the bots. Somethings are really good at killing teammates. *stares at mortars*
