People are worried that the game would become too easy with all the buffs, but with the increased damage you take aside from headshots, it almost feels harder. But it's so much more fun now too. Best patch we've gotten in a long time.

Only issue I have with increased damage is that it just makes heavy armor even further redundant. Before it was detrimental to use, but now it's entirely worthless.

They also changed the hitboxes and changed fabricators to health as well so as a bot diver and dcs main, I am having to relearn the game a little bit.

Also I really appreciate that you do it in full squads instead of trying to solo everything it is more relatable especially with randoms it's pretty much a perfect representation of an average super helldive gameplay for your average helldiver like me

Some of my friends have picked up the "oops all lasers" loadout and it fits really well when I'm going"oops all explosions" nice showing and glad they put in work now!

Laser weapons should have an overcharge mode, where you get half the capacity but double the damage, the drawback being that it would be very easy to expend the battery. Would allow for them to be more useful against heavy enemies.

HD1 had a little laser called the "Tanto". It was shorter ranged but it melted really fast. My personal favorite is the "Trident", essentially the Sickle but shotgun style. Overheated fast but it was my everything weapon.

@@stayawayfromthoseoranges unfortunately not, but they had a laser shotgun that shot 3 sickle lasers at once, rapid fire, it was incredible. LAS Trident, that and the m25 thumper were my go to weps and jump pack, the fun was next level. I hope HD2 gets all those back.

I’d place it in B+ tier. It’s still too weak especially when swarmed. Also too slow against chargers and BTs. A lot better builds out there but it’s still fun.

Yeah, I think sickle helps with the being swarmed thing, and is a better weapon to have when you respawn. Plus you have the whole infinite suppressing fire gimmick. Then you don't need stun as much and can take thermite for chargers and nade pistol for bug holes. Stun is fine with OPS or something, especially if your party has a couple spears/recoilless users, cause they'll be dropping the heavies constantly.

yeah, it’d help if it had slightly better damage and a slower cooldown. other than that it’s pretty fun to use

cookout or liberator concussive have good stagger and help prevent you from getting swarmed. Both have good ammo economy too. Hell you can throw in laser buddy for even more firepower to add to laser cannon. Not meta but a fun build.

Definitely more useful against bots than bugs, its very useful for beaming bots at long ranges very fun too

Nice. I do love me some LAZORZ. This is a great weapon loadout for bots as well, but with shield instead of rover, or jetpack if you want to explosive snipe from the high ground. Not sure if I like LC better than arc for bugs tho. I just did 699 kills with sickle/arc/nade pistol. Mostly defended objectives and covered the flank on advances, cause you can just arc forever, and it will kill chargers in 7 or 8 hits usually, while killing stuff around them. Adding thermite grenades really helps with chargers as well.

The las cannon is a primary weapon you dont drop with its great at dealing with medium enemies like devastators, use something else like a thermite if you want to deal with heavier weapons

As a casual, i would say difficulty 10 is still pretty hard but you just have more weapons to deal with it
