They need to go one of 2 routes with the plasma accellerator. Increase its mag size and ammo economy, or Increase its damage and armor pen, making it a primary senator And also get rid of the weird damage falloff it has

Literally just give each mag two more shots and it'd be usable. Running it with Siege Ready does help alleviate its issues but doesn't fix it on its own.

I feel the need to point out how well the Punisher and Scorcher work with the Seige Ready armor passive. These weapons' main weakness is their ammo capacity, and those mags go a long way

The weakness is close range combat for scorcher is the lack of stagger but pays off in most scenario. For punisher its just restricted that it can both blow you up and is takes more time to kill em: Best team stagger ingame. Purifier: Charging time is always bad but its fire rate is the most busted thing i had ever seen in game so its fair. DUMP and run as I say when something jumps on top of you.

@ this is why you complement with supply pack. If not then you use another support weapon if your trigger finger is too itchy. It's not like you'll use the gun 24/7 your switching/using nades/side arm or just sweeping off trash enemies. Purifier is probably the best per shot letting you do big explosive at a distance while being ammo efficient due its slow ass charging time its pretty much the most flexible amongst all the guns in the game. Where high risk explosives can blow you up while it can switch to a safer shots.

​@cookiewithlove2081 That's getting into loadout building, which wasn't what I was trying to do. All I did was suggest an armor passive that makes you slightly less resupply-hungry. I'm not trying to suggest a Super Helldive loadout, I'm not trying to explain the optimal use of the weapon, all I did was point out a decent synergy a weapon has with an armor passive.

I still remember the terror of the plasma sniper when it was gave out for free, I dropped into a lobby with it on a level 10 illuminate planet and this thing couldn’t even kill a overseer with a burst

How you liking Da Vinci? I started on Sony Vegas loooong time ago and started learning Premiere eventually out of necessity, then I stopped for awhile and needed a free option again and went to Resolve. I'm definitely not an expert in it, but ye it does what it needs to and is similar to popular options and has alot of depth if you need it. Anywho, I loved the Scorcher for a bit against the bots but ended up preferring HMG for up close and counter sniper for distance, but the auto-fire update was crazy. I just started using the PLAS Loyalist secondary for Voteless mobs and stagger on the Overseers.

The scorcher is probably my favorite weapon against the bots it’s not the best in every situation but it’s great in all of them.

I only use the sniper with bots, if you have a jetpack and can get in a good spot, you can clear most of the base.(i play on difficulty 10)

Scorcher and Purifier was really good against bots and still is. Most people including me used the scrocher cuz we didn’t have the polar patriots warbond. When anyone evet died with the purifier i’d take it and use it since its the better version. You can feel it shoot when you charge it up on the controller.

I found the Accelerator Rifle works pretty well on the evacuate assets missions where it's more like tower defense. You can perch somewhere and pick off important enemies and cripple others like taking off the Factory Strider's miniguns for example. And in those missions, ammo is like zero concern. There's bullets laying around all over the place when you first get into the mission and it's super easy to stockpile resupplies if you call them every time they come off cooldown because you're literally just sitting in one spot.

one think I like to note is that despite plasma works very well on unshielded illuminate, their shields like on landed ships and harvesters are actually VERY resistive to plasma, like it takes just under a mag to pop a landed ship shield(diligence) to lob a nade in but it takes your whole reserve just to pop it(PLAS1), maybe even the same for the whole energy weapon line, which might be bad news once more units get added in with bubble shields we might have to punch through.

IMO scorcher is way better on the bots. Purifier is overrated. I can rip off a few shots with the scorcher and kill a devestator or berserker before I can charge up a shot on the purifier.

The thing really holding the plas-39 back against the targets it should be great on is the first hit makes them stagger, frequently causing the following shots in the burst to miss. No other changes short of a single round 1-shotting Overseers will save this gun if it maintains this flaw. It's trying to be too many things simultaniously and failing at all of them because it's traits are in conflict with each other.

I only recently got the Purifier due to just procrastinating on farming super credits after I stopped playing around the Sony login debacle and getting back into it a month or two before the Illuminate. And damn, people were not kidding about how stupidly good the thing is. Like I've seen people glaze the crossbow, and yeah, it's great. But Idunno, the Purifier just does it for me way more. When I first read the description I thought it was like you HAD to hold down the trigger to fire every time. But naw, it's an alt shot, and you can just tap fire it and still get the explosive knockback. Tbh it's kinda overtaken the Liberator Penetrator as my favorite gun, and even though it lacks the stunning utility against Watchers, is my replacement to the Blitzer as my go to Illuminate gun.

I totally agree that rhe sniper is a bad primary, but it really stings hearing someone else say the truth out loud. I always take it with me to difficulty 10 bot missions. Its a great addition if im running Recoilless and Senator or Verdict. I mostly use it without the Scope against Shielddevestators (since im sh*t at aiming), the first shot of the burst stunns them and then most of the times one of the two following shots is a headshot. Also work well against the other Devestators in mid range without, and on long range with the scope. And for everything close range i have one of my pistols.

You should take a look at the AMR, I never see anyone else use it but it can slap *EVERYTHING* the bots can send at you, Hulks are a 1-2 shot to the eye, Devastators are a 1 shot headshot, 2 shot body, you can four shot a Fortress turret if you shoot just above it's gun, anything with a vent like tanks and cannon turrets go down in 4 or 5 shots, and Factory striders, yeah uh I dunno how you kill the top turret with it but those chin blasters are toast.

To add to that it's pretty great against the illuminate too. (Provided that you run a primary that can knock down shields and big crowds.) Plus it feels badass to hip fire when enemies get close.

I think you're misjudging the sniper. It's our very first proper sniper, and plays exactly like one, the 200m scope gives you crazy accuracy, and its meant to be a situational primary, meaning you'll need a more rounded out support weapon or rover backpack to backup some closer targets, but let me tell you its great at taking out patrol enemies before your team even sees them, absolutely a good weapon when some thought is put into it!

I use the gun often, but counter sniper can do the same job and probably do it faster, Since the Accelerator rife has to charge and burst, against patrols where they space out weirdly it struggles with being quick enough to swap targets. That also being the fact that all the other plasma weapons can pop patrols with the similar levels of efficiency. But any gun is a good gun in the right hands.

I don't know whether the dev misplaced a zero on the purifier RoF or something. But if you bind your mouse scroll wheel to fire, that 1k RoF full auto could empty the whole mag in less than a second.

Plasma punisher dont feels like punisher. Punishers are special cause of thier one by one reload and PP doesnt have that. If they made it have one by one reload like with reloading and charging it would be cooler.
