Which means that if you grind enough of the game, you can actually unlock the Premium Warbond without using a single cent of IRL money. Everything in the game can be acquired by in-game currency

Technically not everything. The super citizen bundle gives you unique weapons and armor that you can't get anywhere else. But other than those, yeah. Everything is technically free.

@@battlecubes4762 You can't get the Super Citizen armor, but the "effects" the SC armor gives which stops you from bleeding out if your torso is injured (and also occasionally saves you from critical damage by putting you at 1 HP that would normally kill you like automaton landmines) is actually the same effects the Hero of the Federation armor gives from the free pass. So while you don't have the armor itself, you can literally just get the same effects it gives from another armor set.

@@Dill9540 the Creek was a somewhat unimportant planet with only a few thousand divers fighting for it but grew in popularity and more helldivers came to reinforce the few. It was going well until the accursed Joel gave the Automatons assistance, after a long fought battle many helldivers were abandoned on the Creek, hence being the temporary "fall of Malevelon Creek", but miraculously, they managed to take part of it back. Now we're where we are today, still fighting the never ending battle for the Creek against Joel

Sometimes Joel's fuckery can lead to some intense battles. I bombarded a outpost and right as I left the rock to run in, 15 mg raiders came clustered out from behind a small boulder. Kill 5 then 20 more come from the same rock and before I can finish reloading, another 10 and no way they all fit behind that boulder. All I see is red and them marching forward as I'm praying I don't run out of ammo behind a tiny rock. I'm guessing it was around that many because of the size and I had a kill streak of 37 by the time it was over from spamming every weapon out of panic.

I love how the developers put hints at future content in the maps. They put destroyed exo's before they were released and you can see the bug worm enemy which was the boss from HD1 as a corpse on one of the bug nest poi's. We also have the other vehicles scattered around the map.
