Probably unlikely since for the helldivers to be deployed, orbital superiority needs to be achieved first. That means Automaton stratagems most likely aren't going to be added, but that does open a lot of potential gamemodes. Super Destroyer vs Automaton Mothership, anyone?

​@@NoName...... I'd imagine 4 squads of Helldivers with their own ships vs 4 dreadnoughts of the automatons. The players would operate the armaments installed on the ship and drive/steer also the ship used by the squad is the one the host selects.

But consider the idea: Automatons using their own strategems means they got their own ships in orbit. Our own Super Destroyers are also in orbit. Just aim the helldiver cannon sideways, and we get to board their ships. Take over their ships and use their own strategems against them. Very efficient method of spreading democracy.

Another idea, automaton ships push in and fire their own stategems until our own super dreadnoughts can push them out. Planet side Helldivers can't use their own strategems while the super dreadnoughts are finished.

Seems a bit redundant when you can just stun grenade them once and line up an easy headshot with your support weapon. If it took only 2 to kill i could maybe see them being useful when you're too overwhelmed with other enemies for that strategy to work or if you're using something like the stalwart, but right now they're kinda eh.

New Defense Mode is sooooo much better than the other two "defense" modes. They might as well get rid of Eradicate and Civilian Extraction.

Or they could learn from this one and see how they could make those more interesting. Instead of just having the NPCs run from point A to B, perhaps we need to defend the NPCS as they perform various task around a larger map. So get rid of the arena style map for civilian extract and change it to the larger maps with various sub objectives where you defend them as they do hilarious task.

The new defense mission is 1000% FUCKING AWESOME. It's exactly how i envisioned defense missions to be like. Defending lines of the base, emplacement, killzones, high ground etc: not like the eradicate mission where half the time they drop an entire division onto you that forces you to go to the outskirts in order to have a chance...

mines are pretty good, short cool down. So you can put one down at the start and by the time the bot's show up you can drop another one on the other side. I got the ship buff for fire so I use those.

They could make this even more fun by adding assets outside the walls that you could activate with a timer, like anti-air, shield generators, or even a capture point, then increase the spawn rate to the same as an "extract scientists" mission. Or better yet cause the spawns and drop points to move closer to the intact gates after they break the outer ones. It would make the map feel a feel little less like a passive defense, and make it so that if you aren't having an upkeep on those outer defenses, it'll get progressively harder.

I found with the explosive sniper you need to take something like a Stalwart to use as a pseudo-primary and treat the sniper as your power weapon/ long range. Otherwise it's too slow and unwieldy to use as your primary, and there's an interesting glitch where you fall towards whatever you are shooting if you are too close to the explosion which isn't ideal if what you are shooting has chainsaws for arms. It is very good for popping devastators, 1-shotting scout walkers and destroying bot fabricators though.

The Eruptor is a fantastic gun, unfortunately Jack isn't using it that well in this video lol.. The aoe of the eruptor will definitely kill multiple other enemies around the target you shoot if theyre fairly close together. It also one shots most of the medium armor enemies.

Think a lot of people fall into the trap of not adapting the rest of their loadout as well. It pairs best with something like the machine guns or the arc thrower that you can pretty much use to replace a standard primary, instead of just picking quasar every time.

you really need EMS mortars on this mission to make it easy, and the ajudacator scope like the AMR is not aligned it will one shot kill up to devasators with a single head shot but good luck actually landing one with the scope

Use your quasar on heavy targets more! You can one shot hulks , and two - three shot tanks, with the Eruptor rifle blowing up the smaller targets, it's an AWESOME combo to run, try it out sometime it's fun. The cooldown on quasar cannon is like 3-4 seconds.
