dude i use the balstic shield sometimes, its actually good with the smg primary, and the machine pistol secondary agaisnt bots. as it stops the meelee bots form getting ya, and reduces the damage form the gunner bots. not blast proof tho

I enjoyed it alot but the item pickup bug with the ballistic shield makes me go crazy. If you don’t know when you pick up item with the balistic shield equip and a 1 handed weapon you’re character just start t-posting

Very accurate. Am a shield user though, like it on desert maps, automaton bases are usually spiraling hallways essentially so it's fun to clear with it.

Ballistic Shield would be cool if it was like on a robot arm attached to the backpack so you could use two handed weapons with it. Still limited by the fact it only blocks what's coming directly at you but not so limiting as to make you question its purpose versus the hands free EN Shield.

I'm in the exact same boat. I'm cool with it staying one handed but wish it got buffed to keep up with the EN shield. Maybe adjust the EN for primarily explosive defense or give the ballistic more consistent defense? At this point I really just use it because it's fun/looks cool

HMG Emplacement + Shield can absolutely shred if you time dropping them just right. Cleared a final full extraction wave of bots solo, once. Incoming fire was such that leaving cover would instantly get you killed so doing that without the shield wouldn't have worked.

The autocannon one is so true. With the total 60 ammo you get, along with getting 2 reloads from field ammo drops and 4 from supply packs, on top of the 5 potential calldowns of it without upgrades, you have *more* than enough ammo to practically use it as your primary.

The ballistic shield is fun, I used the extra heavy armor from the superstore with it and the defender and felt like God, that is, until a tank unloaded 40mm of anti-democracy on me. Also, a glitch rn where you put it away when you heal, so you have to switch back to primary to get it to re equip

I found a single person with the balistic shield and he kept getting killed because he wanted to advance while a massive fight was going down. That shield guards you from small units, the bots and their rockets eat you for lunch. Tbf tf you gonna do against a tank or a hulk with it? :D Get the shield bubble or the personal shield bubble
