Have you not seen the extended edition yet?? If that is the case I strongly urge you to look into seeing them. They are all on HBO max, if you have something against streaming services I understand. Also they may be coming back to theaters this summer so you may be able to see them at a theater.

Helldivers 2 was the perfect storm hitting the AAA market. It came after Palworld showed players all over the world that indie games are amazingly fun and you dont need a 70-100$ tittle to enjoy your gametime. It had amazingly fun gameplay on its own... and devs which, despite some incidents, overall listened to the community it had. But more importantly...it taught its player base through ingame mechanics to just work together in order to achieve goals. When the call was given to stand up and let your opinion known, Helldivers already had been through several campaigns in which they pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat and understood that the common goal was more important than some minor temporary discomfort, such as not playing the game to show sony a player drop or taking the time to leave that review. Although small, it is a victory for all gamers, and though this was achieved by the Helldivers community, I wish it upon any game's community going forward to have same cohesion and unity. o7

I wonder how much this event will change things. Suddenly massive amounts of players chose to fight and won. How will the effect the gaming industry? For we not only now have a precedent now, but a victory against the major gaming corporations. Already some developers are clarifying certain matters regarding their upcoming games and services. With this example everyone now knows that we can fight these corporations and win. Only time will tell how this all plays out, but I have a feeling the gaming industry is due for a rude awakening. The sheer popularity of Helldivers 2, with warbonds (battlepass) that never expire, a fun gaming community, premium currency you can actually find in game everytime you play, the premium currency itself is reasonable on its actual price if you wish to buy it, updates that are part the lore, and a game that isn't 70 or 60 dollers or more but a reasonable 40. Helldivers 2 and its developers have challenged triple a gaming and with this event it has won a major victory. The war for a better industry is not won, but if this kind of thing keeps up hopefully things change for the better.

Sony bieng prideful of their PSN and forcing everyone to give their personal info away just like TenCent and Epic Games who killed off their flagship Franchise that is Unreal Tournament. To Nintendo and their wrathful attitude who takes down fangames (whether they be made for profit or not) and roms and emulators who help in Video Game preservation. To Bethesda's sloth for releasing messy, buggy, glitchy, unfinished and unpolished messes that could break computers. This is why Indie games are succeeding over the triple A industry. THIS. IS. WHY. Because the triple A industry are caring alot more about money than their players now. This is why XBOX and Valve are doing alot better than all of the mentioned there. Because THEY PUT THE COMMUNITY AND THE GAMERS BEFORE THEMSELVES! WAKE TF UP, SONY, UBISOFT, NINTENDO, BETHESDA, WAKE UP. You guys are litterally a shell of your former selves! Sony revolutionized the gaming industry with the disc standardization on consoles. Nintendo Saved the Americas from a MASSIVE video game crash. Ubisoft created the amazing prince of persia franchise And Bethesda (which now owns doom) were capable of showing what to do with amazing FPS franchises like DooM, Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Now look at what they are doing...it they used to be heroes and now are corrupt, greedy megacorporations... ...it hurts and sickens me to see them what they have become...

SE got some bad rep because their past CEO, Yosuke Matsuda stated 2 years in a row to investors their commitment with NFT and crypto games, sold their classic IPs like Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Legacy of Kain for peebles claiming that they don't know what to do with them and invested A LOT of money into Forspoken specifically tailored to "appeal to western markets". He was fired for this. Other than this, SE is pretty reasonable, but they did have a lot of dud games in the past years(Left Alive, Balam Wonderland, The Quiet Man, Forspoken, Babylon's fall, Marvel Avengers etc). ff14 is safe, its the title that keeps them alive and the one that is treated fairly, the devs don't abuse fans and don't treat us like walking wallets.
