To me, the grenade pistols advantage is, that you are free to use non-explosive grenades like either smoke, stun or whatelse we may get in the future. And this is a huge thing to me.

Same here. I love stun grenades for bugs and now having the grenade pistol gives me an option for the bug holes without having to run the grenade launcher support weapon

The weird explosion bug where you're knocked TOWARDS the explosion is particularly annoying with the eruptor. Almost guarantees a death vs the bugs if you're already shooting that close to yourself in the 1st place.

@@BAGELMENSK It's the fact it ragdolls you towards the bugs. Being ragdolled is never good, but being ragdolled away from the bugs is obviously much better than the explosion pulling you towards itself.

Agreed. The buzz saw robots almost got me a few times because they ate a shot and I was flung TOWARDS the chasing pack. VERY annoying. Even thought a duo buddy was shooting main then back when I first used it.

​@@Badideasjpgexcept the ragdoll happens when the projectile explodes not before. This is a bug not a reference to physics that wouldn't even apply to this as it's a cartidge not a rocket among other things.

I think booster from previous warbond simply increases cooldown between bot drops/bug breaches. You probably noticed that as soon as flaregun is fired or pheromones are released, enemies won't do that for a long period of time, no matter what you do, even if you somehow teleport and allert patrol on separate part of the map. There is a cooldown between those events, which i assume is affected by that booster.

I think patrols are affected, not reinforcements. I have seen enemies chain reinforce in combat a lot since that “minor patch” that the tail gun got nerfed in.

I tested this by actively encouraging bugs to call in as breach and it came to about 70 extra seconds of space between breaches which is actually massive compared to the 120 you normally get.

The previous booster is actually really good. It doesn't effect patrols it effects reinforcement call ins. AKA it increases the amount of time between when patrols can call in bug breachs/bot drops. I think it can add like 50 seconds or something on helldive.

Yeah the devs seem to have skipped the concept of armour stripping outside of weapons that pierce the armour THEN after almost killing the enemy dropping the armour off that one spot. iMO the heat/gas/acid/electric weapons should damage the armour it can’t penetrate until that armour falls off. THEN let them damage whatever is below. Efficient? No. But at least then the META isn’t entirely locked into 4-5 anti-heavy weapons out of 12? in total.

ive found one niche use for the new booster, and that is for the "gone in 360 seconds" achievement. gives you an extra 20 seconds making it a little easier for those who havent gotten it yet.

Note the adjudicator is a marksman rifle. Yes, it has the option of automatic. It is better suited for semi-automatic.

The previous warbond booster increases the global reinforcement cooldown for enemies. Reinforcements are specifically bot drops and bug breaches, and there is a global cooldown on those that prevents enemies from calling in more until the timer is finished. It does NOT affect patrol spawns. I believe this only applies for standard 40-minute large map missions. Other missions with constant reinforcements like extermination may not be affected.

I wish the rifle weapons were better. They're just so overwhelmingly overshadowed by all the other options... No damage, no ammo, awful recoil, (mostly) crappy sights. BR-14 should be able to down AT LEAST 3 berserkers in one clip, and have 8 spare.

Previous warbond had an amazing booster, the sickle, stun grenades, and some usable weapons. Not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

@@stephengrant4841 stun grenades are one of the best things in the entire game. sickle is also bonkers, (being outclassed by over tuned weapons doesnt make it bad) and the booster is not bad, 3 good things while this war bond has 2 and one of them (grenade pistol) removes all the draw backs of using the stun grenade which makes it even more op

Weapons just need more displayed statistics because a lot of the time we don’t know important things like whether the thermite counts as fire damage or not. Also how much the damage over time is because the displayed damage of 100 is only the explosion at the end

Surprised you didn't mention how much utility the grenade pistol gives players when making their loadout. By having a explosive secondary, the player doesn't *need* to take a explosive primary and/or support to blow up bug holes or fabricators. Makes it much easier to consider stun/smoke grenades in loadouts

I love using the eruptor with the arc thrower, after the buffs its a free get off me card, while the eruptor takes care of all the factories and most enemies

The extract booster is weird because its a flat 15%. You wont get much value until you take it to a complex stratagem plotting modifier. As that modifier is what increases shuttle extraction timers. So it shaves 15% off the 50% of the modifier. Thats pretty good.

Something to note about the booster from this warbond, the effect is much more noticeable on increased call in times missions, taking off like 30-50 seconds, can't remember the exact number but it's a big difference on those missions specifically.

Thermite in simple terms is melting metal, so yes burn/fire damage. The molten metal would creates a weak spot then a secondary explosive would destroy the attuned targeted area. But I still have yet to get used to it.

i saw someone using the exploding crossbow for bot stealth gameplay. the shot itself is silent so enemies will investigate the explosion letting you hit them again when they’re all grouped up.

The Localization booster specifically increases the time between reinforcements of enemy units. Bug Breaches / Bot Drops. And only the global map general calls -- not ones that are part of a side objective or other event. I do not know the exact amount of time-- but basically it gives you more time between call ins to be able to take care of the problem before more come in to compound the issue.

I really like the grenade pistol because it can be extra grenades or allow you to take stun grenades without giving up impact grenades. Also the localized confusion booster does work it just sucks. The way it works is it reduces the cooldown by 10% on how long before the bots/bugs can call in a drop/breach (there is an internal cooldown shared by all enemies on using that ability) which unless you are getting drops/breaches non-stop it makes little difference.

For bugs, I typically play a "utility/light-medium cleaner" role on teams with my grenade launcher but the Erupter has changed that significantly. The gap in my loadout would usually be heavies but now since I get a good portion of the Grenade Launcher's utility in the Erupter, I can bring EAT-17s for heavies alongside a Gatling Sentry during times where the swarm gets too crazy while still having strategem space for whatever else I want. I love it tbh. Currently rocking for Bugs: Erupter P-19 (good for when your Rover is focusing something else and you need to get a few bugs off you) Stun Grenades (good bailout when swarm gets crazy) EAT-17 Rover Gatling Sentry 500kg/Eagle Rocket Pods You can honestly switch the Gatling Sentry out if you're extra careful about how you're playing but I like to play fast so the Gatling is nice to have for more aggression. Honestly hoping Erupter doesn't get nerfed.

I learnt the drop for the crossbow and am now using it in bots. Its actually insane. From my experiences it can 1 to 2 tap beserkers, 1 tap any devestator if you hit the head (which takes some practice) and is insanely good at crowd control. Fast handling pretty much gives it the ability to clear any beserkers chasing you.

It's good against bots using semi-auto, but the recoil on it is absolutely horrendous. I swear it's worse than the Dominator, which is still my baby.

​@@gogeta667 How is it good in any way shape or form vs bots? Against the smaller bots it takes 2-3 shots, by that point they usually manage to shoot back. Against medium bots it takes FOREVER to kill any, medium penetration does nothing. And big things like hulks and tanks are basically immune to it.

The eruptor can 4 shot a charger is you hit the same leg. I wouldn't use it as my primary method of taking them out on higher levels because of how many you'll face, but in a pinch or on lower levels it gets the job done

Grenade pistol is goated ngl, and it's also one of the few weapons I genuinely feel like I'm more accurate with it while using 3rd person ADS, almost every other case I feel better doing 1st person ADS. As much as I liked playing with Eruptor, I can't deny that sacrificing my secondary (which I rarely used anyways) so I could run basically any normal primary or support weapon I wanted OR grenade I wanted. The increased flexibility with builds feels so nice now that the Eruptor and Grenade Pistol have been introduced.

My assumption for the thermite grenade is that it's supposed to break armor for your weapons to then attack through. The description says that. But who knows if thats actually what its for without some direct testing.

Was quite enjoying the adjudicator overall, handles well enough, hits okayish (similar damage per mag as the DMR , counter sniper, lib pen, half the slugger n JAR)), full auto is a Nono but it could use an extra reload or 2. That said I turn screen shake down to 2-5% at most. Thermite otoh felt like a sudoku weapon, enemies run at you then explode, I don’t know why they explode or why the “DoT” flare aspect seems to do nothing. at the least it should entirely remove whatever armour it lands on and maybe severely burn damage any un armoured parts nearby in its radius. You know, melt things, like you would expect a thermite thing to do.

For Eruptor, if you keep one bullet in the chamber, it'll make the reload time much faster. Also you'll get to keep a 6th shot in case things turn bad.

I could be mistaken, but in my experience the grenade pistol DOES two shot tanks in the back of the turret. The radius is just less forgiving, so your hits have to be more direct.

I really like the Adjudicator it's so smooth and easy to aim with its clean reticle on semi. I only see the crazy recoil on auto, which I barely use. The only downside is it can't penetrate strider frontplates which I feel it should if it can take down a devastator, but that's why I got impact nades.

I want to play with it but I think the Thermite may strip or reduce armor damage reduction rather than do any kind of damage which is why it makes the Bile a 1 shot with rocket after. I notice the chargers I have seen in videos after taking a thermite the armor shows holes and chunks missing maybe making other weapons (maybe medium penetrating) able to do damage? Like if a tag a bile titan or charger in the face with a thermite grenade can my laser cannon do damage and not reflect off the armor anymore? maybe the auto cannon will hit instead of deflect?

Localized Confusion adds (or so iv heard) 30 seconds to the REINFORCEMENT timer. Which is the cooldown inbetween Bug Breaches and Bot Drops.

Localized confusion like others have said on this comment section increases the delay from when a bot drop or bug breach in a normal scenario as well as the spawn times of walking patrols. It does not affect special scenarios in which the game forces a bot drop or breach. So the mission where you have to only evacuate personel and drops happen on a fixed time. All eradicate missions. and finally any objective where once activated like drilling for oil that triggers a breach will bypass this boosters effects. Regarding walking patrols though as with another content creator tested if you form more separate groups that is greater than 75m it will spawn additional patrols to random groups. For example if there is a duo team that travels within 75m from each other and 2 other solos going in different directions, once the patrol spawn timer happens 3 separate patrols will be spawned but it will be randomly distributed. for instance all 3 patrols can spawn in the vicinity of 1 of the solo divers or 2 patrols will spawn with the duo and 1 will spawn with one of the solos. The timer reduction for spawn patrols and drops/breaches from the booster is percentage based and the timer for patrol spawns are affected by what you do in the mission. If you close 50% of the fabricators/holes in the map the timer gets cut in half(faster spawns) and finally once you complete the main objective the timer gets cut down to 1/4 and this stacks with the shortened timer of closing fabricators/holes. This timer is also affected by difficulty but it was hard to test out. So for example if a patrol spawns at the start of the mission is 300 seconds (5min), and you close 50% of the fabs/holes it gets cut down to 150 seconds (2min 30 sec) and finally once you complete the main objective that gets cut down to (37seconds). This is why once you start extracting sometimes it feels like you are really getting pummeled by bots/bugs because as you are thinning out the current drop/breach another patrol gets spawned in heading towards you and it just feels like an impossible task to defend the extraction point. TL;DR done't equip this booster in those special missions where drops/breaches are forced in every other scenario once you finish the main objective don't f around and just extracte unless you are confident you can hold of the increased number of spawns constantly.

With the thermite weakening Bile Titans in such a weird way, I want to test if its not meant to do damage but to lower the armor value on a certain point? I haven't been able to test yet, but if we throw it on lets say a charger's leg, will more weapons suddenly be able to pen it/do damage?

The inconsistency from the thermite grenade comes form the damage over time bug. If you aren't the host they may only do damage on the final explosion. That being said They are kinda ass even when that's not the case against everything except bile titans Tanks and turrets.

Thermite, despite being "incendiary" is not used for "fire." The flammable metal flakes will ignite, but the damage being done is the temperature of those metal flakes being super heated and melting through whatever it touches. The burning of thermite will do little to nothing to ignite other objects outside of its sheer heat.

For the evac booster, I wonder if it's something like 10 seconds for every minute. Maybe worth something if 40 seconds, but still, it's hard to even predict if you'll be needing it. Sometimes it really depends what the extraction site style is like.. how the enemy patrols spawns and walk into it. One side, easy. 4 sides all at once, rough.

So Thermite is really the same as fire. It doesn't set something on fire. A real thermite grenade for example burns so hot it just melts straight through whatever you put it on instead of setting that thing on fire. Sure, if you use on on something that's highly combustible, that thing will catch on fire, but if you drop a thermite grenade on an engine block for example, it will melt a hole straight through the middle of that engine block. In the military, incendiary grenades are kept on hand in order to quickly destroy sensitive equipment in the event a position is overrun to make sure nothing is usable. That's how they're trying to make the thermite grenade work in this game with it's high armor pen value, they just didn't seem to do a very good job with it's damage.

I do think the reduced enemy booster does work. When I run it I notice that when enemies try and call reinforcements it fizzles out a lot of the time.

The booster adds 30-40% to the cooldown of reinforcements, based on the testing I've seen. It does not work on things that cause forced reinforcements however, like geological survey or extermination.

Eruptor is nuts with flamethrower. Now you can fight armored bugs and Bile Spewers from distance and close bug holes without granades. Totaly good combo. But against bots sucks.

So I have a theory and my testing seems to support my theory. Hulk scorchers are near immune to fire damage so the thermite does nothing to them. It takes 2 thermite to kill a bruiser.

I just ran the eruptor with the stalwart on the lowest rpm for ammo conservation. Ive one shotted chargers with the eruptor plenty its probably the best gun minus the glitch that throws you forwards. I thought id need the ammo pack but no, run the jetpack. Run servo assist or the 30% less recoil 50% less explosion damage. Also run the grenade pistole and stun nades for easier shots and jesu christ is this the best load out ive ever used i dont think im going to be using shotguns for awhile now.

its hard to tell since the glitch of a chargers leg changing armor values after running past you.(devs acknowledged it exists but decided to keep it so it's a permanent feature for now) this exchange might "unstrip" it once the correct armor returns, or worse be better off just shooting it since it will go away than waste a resource. Im really curious what kind of debuff this thing applies, cause i saw someone else say it made hulks weaker to auto canon but I suspect he just doesnt know autocanon is goated. there could be some interesting synergy if it makes primaries capable of harming heavies

What I really want out of the thermos grenade is utility. If I throw this on an armored area it should destroy the armor on that location or at least reduce the armor value there by a step or two. That way it creates a more interesting tactical opportunity for you and your team and enable them to do more damage to an elite with weaker weapons. ie: throw it on a tank face plate so it only requires one rocket to kill it at that spot. Throw it on a charger face then medium pen weapons can headahot it.

I've heard the thermite grenade is currently suffering from the host DoT dmg bug; if you're not the host, burn damage is nothing/severely reduced

I can't believe the devs themselves have stated that they want their game to have realistic details, and then go on to make this crossbow based off an in real life crossbow design and then have it have zero cocking animation. The even modeled the cocking lever. It's obvious they just googled "repeating crossbow" and based it off what they saw without knowing anything about it. This would be like the punisher shotgun not having a pump animation. Extremely lazy. They need to rethink their 1 warbond a month if this is level of quality we have to look forward to.

The Eruptor is fascinating, it feels like it works exactly as intended except somehow the explosion is inverted: it hits the impact spot, then the damage starts at the outside radius at maximum, then travels inwards and falls off like it would on a normal explosion going outward. So it does that sucking in effect and also one-shots Devastators or Brood Commanders hitting the floor near them, but takes 4-6 shots to the face sometimes? The Thermite is definitely broken, but how is very baffling. I wish it was clear what the intent was, if it's supposed to melt through armour then do a small detonation inside.

Grenades should be able to strip chargers armor with 2 grenades in the same spot, or with 1 grenade but reducing the number of max termite grenades to 3

Maybe that crossbow fabricator kill was just a raider trooper being killed? I've read their jetpack explosion can trigger a fabricator explosion, but I haven't verified.

The contact base kills tanks in 2 -3 bases while this you have to throw all 4 and maybe it will kill them. These need a serious buff if anyone is gonna use them practically

Reduced enemy spawns is a booster that's well visible on extermination missions (you know, when toasters arrive in waves).

Im well aware that who ever is incharge of balance needs a good talking to. but I still could not predict or fathom that the crossbow would be released just to make the Plasma punisher completely inferior. all the things the plasma punisher needs this has. bigger and stronger aoe , better drop off angle, infinitely better handling/weight so it goes where you look instantly, 4x the damage on direct hit!!! and if headshot does kill things even tho it gets reduced damage (someone said 60% but i thought it was 50%) from no lightarmor pen, still does more direct damage after reduction. this next thing might sound like a nitpick but is actually a very huge positive, the small arrow actually helps tremendously with you subconsciously adjusting your aim knowing where the projectile will hit, while pp large ball passes through solid mass because its hitbox is the same size as the crossbow bolt. the handling, projectile, and trajectory are the three biggest things the PP needed to be consistent which is all it was lacking imo. damage being better would be nice but not necessary. now that the cross bow gets that and can potentially remove devastators in one hit instead of stun locking them for 4+ shots while everything else surrounds you when you need to reload, you can move on with your day. now before you say "it has less ammo per clip" you don't need 8 shots with this for what you are doing. plasma punished damage, aoe, and accuracy/handling are so bad that 8 isnt enough. while the cross bow will be way more consistent for what you use it for, a swarm of little guys, hunters jumping around you, crossbow will hit them instantly, PP takes time to follow your aim and small aoe means you'll usually need to fire twice to do what one cross bolt does assuming you land your pp accurately all the time. with that said, the erruptor is just more better than the crossbow, that horrible rate of fire verses an even BIGGER and STRONGER aoe, no drop off so fire where you want it and farther away, utility to hurt bigger targets that wall crossbow, and destroy spawn points. I hope im missing something here cause this is ridiculous. i hope i am wrong, please do not think i want it to be this way for any of the weapons to outshine eachother hopefully anyone who is a fan of the pp, wants to like the pp but hate how it feels, or curious what are the crossbows strengths as a weapon will read this and see what technically makes the crossbow "strengths" respectfully for its design. Im very curious how much damage and what can be abused with its aoe on bigger enemies

The Adjudicator is comparable to the Diligence, if you hate the Counter Sniper variant and want a DMR that can pierce medium armour, then it's pretty good. Or you could just use the Eruptor which is better at: Clustered enemies (seriously the explosion radius is gonna send people into anaphylactic shock as it is NUTS), individual enemies, tanky/armoured targets, precision shooting (though the shot explodes at around 150m) and taking out Fabricators. I swear, the Eruptor is a Support Weapon in the Primary Weapon slot, it's insane, the only thing it cannot do is kill Hulks from the front.

I think you're underselling the xbow here. It's insanely good against bots. It's the scorcher with better accuracy, damage, stagger, and a huge aoe. Haven't used it against bugs yet.

the thermite grenade does dot damage and rn there's a bug where dot damage only works of your host, so until that's fixed. don't touch the thermite grenade

are you kidding? the last warbond was worth its weight in gold. stun grenades? localization confusion booster? the sickle? and while its niche its great to have a sidearm with infinite ammo. also if your friend insists to run the arc thrower the armor is pretty useful. especially with the additional jump over ship module we just got. at least that warbond DID have unique armor perks.

in my opinion the adjudicator should do at least double to three times the damage it currently does. I do understand this would make it do around 400 damage to low armor targets per shot but I think that it should be able to one shot anything that is unarmored. My problem with the DMR weapons in helldivers is that none of them really can one hit any of the bugs besides bugs that die in one shot anyways. The light automotons are more bearable but it almost requires headshots right now for it to be worth using against a medium target. It suffers from living as a DMR in a spray and pray world, and to be viable I think it needs to be buffed heavily.

Think the thermite has been buffed since this. I can consistently kill tanks with 2-3 and just one of them will kill a cannon tower before it even explodes.

The grenade does dot damage therefor it is affected by the damage bug meaning it does zero damage unless you're host.
